Now that i am holding to both silver and black LE, i notice some very minor differences:

The menu button and buttons around it is better to press. Feels softer compared to silver version. (no big deal)

The black LE comes with lens adaptor and hood and the quality is much much better then the much cheaper LLC brand.

The black LE comes with the black leather cover and the built is also much better than the brown one given free with the silver version.

Any other things are the same for now, as i said no big deal. The main diff is still black vs silver.

Nice!

New set of silver X100 also provide a black leather case and no more brown leather case.

black is nice, but brown looks more retro. The one which comes with the black LE is with red inner leather. everything seem much more tight fitting and better built. The brown one given free to me the quality is like MIC and CMI.

i hope you are getting the black one same as mine. a lot better!

OIC. Guess the black leather case provided with LE is indeed higher quality then.

The black leather case that came with the current silver X100 does not have the red inner leather. However, it is better quality than the previous brown one and fitting is quite good. Got to squeeze a bit since I am using the lensmate thumbrest which makes the x100 slightly wider.

I still prefer a silver X100 though. Interesting as it is so hard to look for a Chrome M9P and black seems normal for the M9P. The silver and black combination creates a more retro look to me, and my silver x100 matches my chrome leica nicely.

Totally black good for low profile photo taking though!

To be fair, i wish to point out that the additional stuffs like lens adaptor and hood + P-filter cost another priobably $150 to get so the price difference is actually $450 instead of $600. The black LE version may also hold its value better than the silver version.

Since the black and silver version has no distinct differences besides the colour, it is more of personal preferrence for colour. in a nutshell, silver for the more retro look; black for more discreet.

I feel i take better photo with the black version. not because there's something inside which makes the photo looks good, but rather the enjoyment when it falls onto my hand.

I agree... black cameras have better IQ... ;-)

My mistake .. so far I got two prices .. One is $1999, another is $2018. So its around the S$2k region. Not sure what is the RRP heard its around $2499.

Street price is about 1.9k. Looks much nicer to me. It comes as a kit with matching hood, adaptor and Fuji 49mm filter.

My no 4448th copy of the Fuji X100 Black Limited Edition with the packaged leather case, filter, adaptor and hood. Additional are black soft shutter release from DeCameraConsultant and Black cloth strap from Artisan & Artist.

indeed the black look pretty good compare to the silver one, but price is abit steep since not much diff

Well, its all a matter of taste and the value one places in it. I have a X10, and I bought the X100 Black LE to match the X10. So I can happily just take photos which with whichever camera is best for the occasion and then don't have to have people keep asking me that I changed cameras again. Also I felt the normal X100 being so retro looking caught too much attention and people kept saying 'so cute', 'is that a film camera'. I rather just blend in the background. With the X10 being black, I had much less people say anything, they just took it as a normal small camera. So from the point of view of blending into the background and being able to take photos without people getting distracted by your camera, there is a value. And of course, I myself prefer black.

I find your justification quite comical. You like it you buy it. Simple
