Long distance bus from JB to and fro KL is MYR68 (~S$26)

How much is SGP selling for the XT1 body ?

Oo. U go there holiday so on the way to get it?

Thanks Widget,

Seem like buying with Kit lens much worth quoted at S$ 2380.00 there about and M adapter at S$250.00.

I was quoted S$1850 to $1.9k by the "usual" shops, cash payment.

The kit lens should be around the $2.3k to $2.4k mark, but you see in B&S section quite a few users want to offload their 18-55 lens.
SO it depends whether you'll need the 18-55 lens

Cool. I m planning too

Anyone wants to go together next weekend to kl just to get the camera?

Taking starmat?

There are many companies offering bus route to KL from Larkin JB. I'll probably take KKKL, or some other express but not too old bus. Price is pretty standard except for those luxury types.

One thing to add: Avoid buying tickets at Merlin Tower, very expensive and the bus came from Larkin anyway.

Wow.. I need to try this out to see.. What I like is that it extends the grip to accommodate my last finger..

Could it be that the plate of the Gariz is not fastern properly to the base of the cam?

I've got it prety tight. The leather construction surrounding the metal base plate and the metal stack around the battery cover was the weak point. Leather is not totally rigid and couple that with the metal stack to clear the battery door, it would flex under a heavy lens. Normal zooms and primes were fine but the 55-200 is pretty heavy if not the heaviest lens they have.

It was annoying that it would flex downwards after centering the picture and tightening the ball head. In the end, I just had to compensate by lifting it up before tightening the ball head. This was with the XM1 case. Perhaps the XT1's case is better built. So when I got the XT1, I decided just to buy the MHG-XT1.

Planning to get body and 23mm

Hey , that's exactly what was advised to me. Just get the 23/1.4 and that's it - other lenses will just be ordinary lenses. Any idea how much with body + 23mm be from KL?

You can get the body only for around RM3.8k, while the 23mm is around RM2.3k.
These prices are cash only from online sellers, so if you buy from high street shops with CC, maybe RM100-200 higher than these prices.

Going rate is now slightly cheaper. Comes with 1 year warranty from Fuji Malaysia.
