performance-wise... ??
apologies, allow me to translate...ageha said:Why "performance-wise"? Does that make sense? ;-) No, I meant in general. Thanks for the screen shot! Too bad the X-Pro 1 won't see any peaking. Hopefully with the X-Pro 2!![]()

"performance-wise... ??" = "in terms of performance... I don't know"... still not the queen's english, but you get the picture.
dude, you asked if the X-Pro 1 supported shutter release without attached lens... I showed you a pic of the availability of "shoot without lens" option... but "performance-wise... ??"... meaning, I don't know how this camera will perform using this mode.ageha said:I know what you mean but what performance are you referring to in manual focus mode?

this maybe because the adaptors are not available yet... although, I may be corrected by some ppl spotting some "made in china" options...
btw, manual mode focusing can be done with the xf lenses.
you might want to see this post re manual focus assist on the x-pro1.indeed. kipon adapters are already out on ebay.
quick question on the MF with the xf lenses - is the mf responsive? x100's MF is sadly, not usable in the slightest. Was pretty amped on the release of this camera, but with no reported peaking or MF assist features and its pretty high price tag.... sigh... probably giving it a pass until prices drops.

well, i'm glade that you have come to the conclusion that i was referring to the camera's capability and performance to shoot without lens...As I already hinted there is no such thing as "performance" with regards to such an adapter so I simply asked what you mean.

and since you brought it up, in terms adaptors, assuming you're taking about the ones without contacts, you may want to consider material, fit, and calibration... while most of the issues are not "performance" related, but note that not all adaptors made will allow you to focus to infinity.
