went to Aur Island off Mersing last weekend. Didn't get many shots with the Summitar but I do love the color rendition from my XF18.

 finally got hold of a Voigtlander 12mm f/5.6. My lens lineup is finally complete, for now.

Current lens lineup: CV12, XF18, XF35 which is 18mm, 28mm, 50mm in 35mm terms.

Anyone tried buying online from overseas store? Seemed the prices are waaayyy cheaper. Especially in australia can get new xpro1+35mm for abt 2.2k. Still cheaper than 2nd hand market here. Any comments?

x-pro1 and all XF lenses come with international warranty. You need to check with Fujifilm Singapore (call them) to check if Aussie set is eligible for warranty coverage in Singapore.

Mainly for travel... Usually I prefer shooting people (streets) and at times landscape. During my Canon times my favorite lens lineup is 16-35L paired with 50L. It has been my intention to get something similar ever since I moved to xpro1.

Now with the CV12 I have all my most-used focal length covered.

Yes, for adapted lens the main issue with UWA is the strong color cast at all 4 corners. The CV12 is the widest rectilinear lens you can get... The corners are softer than my XF18 and it also exhibit blue/reddish color cast at the corners. Vignette is pretty severe on this lens too.

This is a well known issue and this is the main reason why I got the OEM Fujifilm M-mount adapter instead of cheaper Kipon-type. The Fuji adapter allows correction of distortion, color cast and vignette directly from the camera.

Need to find time to profile this lens...

By the way if you want a UWA, the upcoming XF14 is promising... I'm eyeing on the Zeiss 12mm f/2.8 to replace my CV12... Have to see the price/ size first.

At lease those 2 lenses are AF lenses and optimized for x-system.

Both d fujinon n zeiss seems promising. No point getting a Legacy Wide Angle lens n having issues wif d pictures. Tks.

My boss has the 35cron and 50lux... Trust me, they are no comparison against our XF35.

Yes the adapter converts your camera to a m-mount body.

I understand that xf35 is tuned perfectly on the xe-1 sensor... tatz d advantage. cron and lux shouldnt work too bad either since they are really awesome lenses but of coz works so much better on M bodies..

That's what I meant. All these lenses cannot get any sharper. The image produced is so sharp that it is already maximising the sensor.

The fact that the kit 35mm can be super sharp at F1.4, yet lighter and with full Auto-Focus, and cost a fraction of Leica's best lenses. What do you think?

Can save the trouble to get legacy lenses. Like I said, only Nex 7 will need to use them as Sony did not have many solid lenses made for Nex. But for Fuji, the lenses are top range and for this Fuji X body, even if get all the Leica best lenses, the results will be at best, slightly better?
