guys, my wife's x10 current set-up is that she attached a JJC hood with filter on it. Any recommendation on what bag to use which will still fit the hood without removing it? She wants to maintain that vintage look hence I'm in-charge of looking for a bag that will suit this. Not too girly as I will probably use it as well ;) Thank!

This segment of the market has greatly been boosted by recent surge of new 'retro' cameras - so your options are quite plenty. Probably better first work out your budget.

I was considering this - http://www.chiifcameras.com/site2/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=123&Itemid=110

Cam/ passport/ phone/ small mineral water bottle = ready to go anywhere!

Still finding a step up 40-49mm...Wanna attach nd filter for some strobe shoots~

Ya, very pricey. G-market has a lot of korean ones which look great.

I'm quite happy with the royal blue Kaza full case that I got. It comprises a strap and half case that protects the x10 while you shoot, and a matching 'outer' case that you store the camera into when not shooting, which protects the exposed parts of the camera. The closest alternative that I've seen is the Gariz full case. There appears to be a significant difference though. For the Kaza, you are meant to remove the x10 completely from the outer case before shooting (Kaza provides a small loop to clip the outer case to the strap whilst the camera is in use). For the Gariz, the outer case is meant to remain on the camera (dangling from the half case) while using the camera (it appears that slightly more effort is needed to remove the outer case as seen on the pics). The Gariz also currently cost a bit more than the Kaza. Between the two, I prefer the Kaza system and of course its price.

I really like the unique royal blue of the Kaza with bronze/gold stitching and buttons. It matches the black and retro look of the x10 very well. I've yet to see any other x10 case with such a colour. Kaza also offers versions in brown and in black but I think they lack the character of the royal blue; and character is what the x10 is all about :).

The Kaza's leather smells good and the workmanship is not too bad; way better than Fuji's original brown leather case. I'm quite surprised at the appalling quality of the Fuji original brown case (which doesn't come cheap) - the joints and the strap were very poorly made. Fuji really needs to change its case supplier. Coming back to the Kaza, the case fits quite well although the cut-outs for the strap attachments on the half case could have been better aligned and the x10's protruding view finder portion sort of strains against the case.

What I like about the Kaza half case is that it leaves the back of the camera uncovered (similar to the Gariz), which is the way I like it. No chance of any leather bits obstructing any of the camera controls unlike other cases that try to protect the back of the x10 more fully. More importantly, the Kaza (and the Gariz) has a tripod screw and cut-out at the bottom which exposes the speaker and door to the battery/SD card. I'm surprised how may other cases (some very expensive ones) lack such a basic 'feature' !?! The x10 doesn't have the best battery life and I'm not about to remove the whole case (including unscrewing the tripod screw for some models) just to change the battery ! Unfortunately, the x10's side door (usb port) is obstructed by the Kaza case; you'll have to remove the case to use that. But at least I don't expect to have to use this door whilst out shooting.

I often come across debate on the merits of half cases in protecting a camera. Some swear by half cases; others slam half cases for being more looks than function (in terms of protection). With the Kaza full case, you get the best of both worlds. An unintrusive half case which makes it quick and convenient to use the camera and an outer case to store the x10 in for full protection when not in use. Add in the unique royal blue colour and I was sold !

Good review!! I'm getting sold by the minute! hahaha! My choice is the vintage brown (which costs a bit more) & the black with red stitching. Did you order direct from the website? How was the shipping? Any delays or problems encountered? Thanks a lot for your input! :)
