Description:
Selling one of my collections. This is a beautiful Super Multi Coated Takumar 200mm F4 lens. Thought I'd keep it long, but got far too many lenses nowadays. Decide to let this one go. It's in M42 screw mount, can be used on Canon/Nikon/Sony/Olympus/Pentax digital or film SLR cameras w/ proper adapters used.
This is the S-M-C version which is considered alot better than the non-SMC version. This copy is in extreme good condition, definitely a mint condition for its age. There is only very few paint loss which is hard to see. There is one visible dust spot inside the lens which shouldn't affect picture quality at all. Focusing is silk smooth like all the other Takumar lenses, aperture blades are clean and dry, aperture ring turns to each F stop properly.The lens comes w/ original Takumar rear cap and a 58mm Pentax front cap. Very hard to find a same lens in such good condition.
The lens is very sharp even wide open, it produces wonderful pictures w/ nice color and sharpness. Pentax SMC coating is the best coating even comparing w/ modern lenses.
Selling due to lack of usage. Got an AF version 135mm lens and 200mm lens already.
Asking for $200 only, which is quite a bit lower than most other sellers asked for the same lens, or even the non-SMC version, and this copy is in better condition too.
