Okay, let's snap out of this argument over my use of languages. If PCK can say "Don't play, play" on TV, then I can say whatever I want on this forum.

Back to the workshop. I, too, think that CHIJMES is a nice location. Let's have it there.

It is undeed true that foulness of language need not have any co-relation with character.

I too swear when I am under pressure, but it does not come up when I am writing in forums such as this, because such language only serves to detract rather than help. This is my suggestion.

As I had earlier mentioned, I am glad that photopurist offers this workshop. I wish that I can offer this also. BTW when "we" decided to offer a "free" workshop on the zone system, there were just as many interested participants.

And I would advise that photopurist can say "anything" he wants - but bear in mind, at least one of his post was "edited" by the moderator. Freedom of speech is wonderful, but there must be responsibility also when exercising this "freedom"

I am not only referring to some posters on this forum but also to my youngest cousin who just completed his NS and wanted to go to the U.S. to further his education. I advise him not to.

They do not know all the **** and crap we have to endure to just to get a piece of paper from a foreign land. Unlike those who study locally. You have your parents, relatives and friends close to your access. We have nobody to rely on. We are fighting a lonely battle everyday.

Then why I went overseas then? Simple. Twenty years ago, the education system in this country sucks. You either go to VITB or to some private school if we cannot make the grade. Everybody was thinking of a way out. Those who had stronger financial backing could afford to go to either the US or UK.

Now is different. So why be jealous of me. In fact, I should be the one jealous of you.

now, i am jealous of your achievements. those days, vitb does no creative courses, right? i had to work for some photographers to gain knowledge and experience.

i think most of us are of a certain mature age and can pretty well determine what is crude, obscene, a kind act of gesture, good heartedness......... and being extremely naggy!

Did VITB offers photography courses then? I do not think so. I understand they were seriously into computer technology and electronics. The only creative course they offered then was hairdressing.

you are right. then, they were in trade type courses only. no creative trades. now, we have local degrees and diploma types creative courses, and more. wow. i am born in the wrong decades.

For the workshop at Bishan Park, I can actually do it on a weekend morning. I believe the atmosphere will be more relax there. You can wear your favorite sandals and a comfortable singlets. Isn't photography suppose to relax our minds from our daily stress? This will be ideal!
