Thanks hkingx and hope107fm, glad you both like it. As requested, here's one more animal shot with 45/1.8 in Bali, a lovely lens on a lovely cat, can't find much fault with this lens except for it's plasticky feel, not complaining though for the optical qualities at the price paid:) cropped and level adjustment

Woke up twice for sunrise at Nusa Dua, was rainy and disappointing weather...did a B&W on the original as the clouds were quite dramatic. Or maybe a dramatic art filter with new Pen would do this scene better? would like to seek some comments on this :)

Of my 6 days trips, woke up 3 times for sunrise, twice as mentioned previous post was cloudy and rainy. On the last day in Bali, decided to go to Sanur for sunrise, so had to drag my lazy bum at 430AM, as I heard the sunrise views there is pretty awesome. And luck was on my side this time :)

#72 Sunrise at Sanur

The first shot I took once I set my foot in Sanur without using any GND filters as I was too excited when I saw the colors, I should have been there a while earlier...Lifted some shadows.

EPL1+9-18mm, ienhance feature in camera.

Last shot for the night, also at Sanur sunrise, caught a moment of a man (not a waiter) carrying some drinks for his friends at the shelter, the height difference caught my eye and was glad I had my telephoto lens on my camera then. On the right is a Penjor, a balinese decoration commonly seen islandwide, made of curved bamboo with coconut leaves at it's base.

#73 Taken with EPL1+45/1.8, No PP, ooc jpg, ienhance feature in camera

Thanks for viewing so far.

Nice shots. Your example serves as a reminder that good shots are primarily about composition, and not so much the technical gadgetry that we so over-emphasize sometimes...

Thanks for the compliment and visiting the thread, my wife would strongly disagree especially on the gadgetry part :bsmilie: I did restrict myself to just 3 lenses this trip for the Pen, 9-18 ultra wide, 20mm pancake, and 45mm as I brought another cam body for testing. It really beats the portability and weight of carrying Oly DSLR and similar lenses, if I still had it. Am really thankful for mirrorless cameras for travel and everyday shooting.

Here's one more of the nice sunrise I enjoyed at Sanur, hope you will too.

# 74 Sanur sunrise

The mountain on the left is Mt Agung on the Northeastern, which is the highest volcano in Bali, standing over 3000m, so it still can be seen from Sanur and even Nusa Dua which is further south. Taken with E-PL1+9-18mm, I think my GND was on it with perhaps a 3stops ND.

Very colourful and beautiful sunrise and sunset photos .
Keep it up .

Thanks for sharing .

Went to a local market in Sanur, it's rather modern as in dry type of market so it's relatively clean. People here were very jovial and typically will smile at you if you ask for a photo. Saw a young man in traditional costume, he's the only one there in such outfit. There's an altar (from the picture is yellow draped thing elevated on bamboo) in every stall, it symbolizes the stall owner is a balinese (hence practices Hinduism).

#80 Indian Dancers - Bangalore or Bengaluru official name

Was at an exhibition and there was some dancers, shot with fisheye lens real close, almost went deaf :)

E-PL1+Samyang 7.5mm fisheye lens. Learning to shoot with fisheye, it's fun and challenging at the same time. An amatuerish shot. OOC jpg

wow.. really nice, I like your collection of travelling photos, especially you're using mirrorless. would you mind sharing what bag are you using to carry e-pl1 and your 3 lenses? are you taking tripod with you too?

Hi thanks d3vilZ for dropping by, for epl1+3 lenses, a slingbag (no brand) + lens bag is what I use which can hold my tripod as well. I didn't bring for this trip and still overseas, will share when I'm back home. I use a Sirui T025 tripod, a light carbon fibre tripod designed for mirrorless camera ;)

#82 WTF? ;p

Somewhere near Mysore Palace. E-PL1+45/1.8, no PP.
