I think in so much as the photos are for the couple, some are for the photographers too.
And definitely this subforum are meant for the later ... to some extent

So just appreciate the differences

Sometimes there're photos that we (I do freelance) and a lot of others  so much
, but the couple themselves preferred those from "studio" , with totally smooth skin, bright and clear etc
which is really :dunno:
So instead of ,
we'd just
and :)

sorry Will, if i've hijacked the thread

hi.. the no face photos definitely do not represent a big percentage in the wedding photos of each couple.. for each wedding.. we probably have just a few of such photos..
some people might wonder , why take such photos in the first place ?

true, some people may not like pictures like this..
but why do i shoot something like this ?
the love between a couple goes beyond the kissing pics.. hugging pics.. etc etc etc.
its the whole body language..
how they hold their hands, how they steal glances at each other..
all these come naturally between a couple.. totally unposed..
being a wedding photographer.. i appreciates how my couples display their love for each other in the most simple and natural way.. (face or no face :))

i have included pictures like these into the album.. alongside with
the facial shots, expressions, etc etc to complete the whole story..

of cos, couples who really dun like such photos, are free to request that such
shots be excluded from the album.. ;)

Cheers

I personally like photo that showcase an emotion, a gesture or simply an implication from me and/or my bride. my wedding photos belong to me and her, and not anyone else. by looking at the pics, i will be able to identify it was me or/and her in the pics and that is more heart warming than just putting my whole face in all the pictures.

In the above pic u're referring to, i suppose there are post processings to highlight the gesture. and i like it though.

anyway, its different preferences for different ppls. just to share my thoughts as someone who will like such pics.

haha.. if the whole album is without faces, then the photgrapher probably wont get paid. Deserve to be shot dead.
But a few of such shots, really adds to the overall mood and feel of a whole series.
And such moments are more difficult to catch, than asking the couple to pose, hug, smile for you.

Wowww... I am a newcomer and presently I am learning how to use DSLR, as well as learning how to capture pictures with feel/mood.

Thanks for sharing such splendid shots! I am your fan now. :)
