With crop factor of 2.7 the equivalent aperture is 1.2x2.7=3.24. The 35 1.8 gives you 1.8x1.5=2.7 so it will still out perform the f1.2.

It's the old Nikkor 1 power zoom lens. The new one with manual zoom isn't out yet, probably next year.

The 18.5mm f/1.8 will come out on the 30th of Nov in Japan and on the 1st of Dec in the US.

Thanks! The V1 and the Nikkor 1 lenses are better tools than their reputation on the Internet might suggest.

yup. The stampede towards large sensor size discounted the 1 series too fast due to the smaller sensor.. but it is a very capable system.

And now V1 with kit lens and flash is selling for way less than Sony RX100... how to resist? LOL

great lens, now my 10-30mm stays at home, this one and 30-110mm should meet most of my needs
