But that's exactly what the women/girls want! (Or, at least most of the not-so-serious-about-photography ones.)

We guys may not want to carry a toy-like looking camera around, but we aren't the target market for the coloured k-x.

In fact, I can well consider such a camera (and even colour) for candid shots.. people are less likely to be intimidated by 'toy cameras'.
