i like the sunburst in the first pic. Exif? A second strobe would light up the coral nicely.

second pic the rays look fake , but I'm sure everyone out there will like teh creativity.

third pic would be better if u have some bikini babes at the jetty waitiing to dive.....i.e. have some human element

I think the second pix is looks a bit strange because the lighting on the coral is too one-sided and does not match the direction of the sun. I agree with Kthan that right a second strobe will balance out the light.

As for the second pix, I DO like the creativity

first pic is f5.6 1/200 full dump on DS50

2nd one is f4.5 1/200 full dump on DS50

3rd one is f3.2 1/80 no strobe.

haha i never add anything leh the sun comin from behind the jetty, i was tryin to lite up the fish cos quite blend taking just the jetty itself.

2nd STROBE! saving already hehe

very hard its only 7am in the morning and all the babes are still in pajamas sleeping! :D

maybe 2nd one i shoot with f5 or f5.6 the water could be more bluish hence nicer? but my strobe cannot cover that far :( DS125? hehehehe

1st pic: very crisp looking.
2nd pic: jetty looks like some ufo taking off. think it'd be prettier w/o the odd rays

overall nice surreal effect shooting thru water

haha everyone says the 2nd one looks very fake.. hmm the rays are real though, my photoshop skill not that good to remove those hehehehe

1st photo very nice! Having the fishes in the shot give it some sense of movement.

hi,

what do you think of having the strobe directly above the camera to have a top frontal lighting so as to get a more even lighting for the first pic??

for the 2nd pic....it is unusual but i kinda like it....cept that if u did not mentioned in your post that it is a jetty topside, i can't really make out what it is....the effect of the "fake" ray to me is like the fishes just came out from some ufo.....very interesting.....

for the 3rd pic......maybe u can move closer to the jetty and light up the other half in the water with your strobe......the bottom half on my screen looks pretty dark to me...of cos the bikini babes would bring home the trophy....

Jimmy,

With all that has been said,

I think your post processing has tad bit more magenta to it. The sand on the first pic is to reddish.

Cheers

cool

next time i'll try top down strobe, if not i'll go steal another Strobe! muahaha

haha UFO

move closer to jetty ah.. hmm will try that the next time im there :D

thanks for all the cool advices haha

see la, never bring laptop last time...

anyway i like the first one. tho the corals looked weird.. they seem to contain alot of solid colours...which is not 'photographic' looking.
