u know ever since de start of this thread till now, im so tempted to get myself a m2...
suddenly alot of reasons....
yah the r2a is gd....its a shooter camera...but isnt it good to have another backup body if i wan to shoot b&w while i might have a color film not finished yet in my r2a...haha

ermm then on 2nd tot...shldnt i just up de budget abit more to get a m6??? sigh..so tempting!

actually jonmanjiro is right. girls dig rolleiflex... last sunday i was at the singapore museum, there is this photography section where old late 19th/early 20th photos of singapore and portraits are shown. this japanese tourist girl came up and asked me about the rolleiflex hanging around my neck, i passed it to her to hold and she was hooked...in the end I let her snap a picture just so she knows how to advance the shutter etc nevermind that the place was like 3200iso 1/15 and f2 which the rolleiflex 3.5t obviously could not handle...my wife thought i was trying to sian the japanese girl.

so here's the pic of me...exposure is all wrong, and yet i think this picture works out....

It is true that girls dig TLR Twin lens Reflex, my pristine Yashica Mat 124G was sold to this lady...there is even a flickr page called

It's easy to say "as long as you like to take photo brand is not important", but if that's the case every one might as well just get a Nissan Sunny, how boring can that be.

Man's obsession with Leica is no different than woman's obsession with LV, and yes I don't think it's the craftsmanship or quality we are talking about.

So don't feel guilty if you don't take better photo with your Leica than your Bessa R2A, cause your wife/girlfriend handbag is as messy as when they didn't have a LV.

I bought myself a leica sometime back and loved it when people ask "what brand is that"! Maybe it is the majority that do not know that sub-consciously made me buy it.

Other than that, these are toys that boys crave to have.
