Why is speculation disallowed?

This practice is not present on other forums, where speculatory discussion is common and encouraged.

CS terms of use does not forbid speculation.

pls can i understand why moderators close threads with speculation

yep. my thread was closed cos the admin felt it was speculation. i thought it was more a discussion. in any case who is to dictate what you do with your time.
