Why is Canon so quiet?

Maybe, they put an APS-C sensor into a 1D body and give the camera 10fps + 61AF points and tell the world it is the first dedicated APS-C sports camera with the 1D weather sealing capability and sell it for 4k, because it was a professional grade camera.
While the whole world is going for smaller camera body, we the Canon people take the opposite road and go on a big body to tell people we are more professional.

R u refering to 7D Mark II? :bsmilie:

Trying to find the interview when someone from Canon said they would focus on making cameras smaller and lighter. However, they believe they can do that even with SLR design.

I hope it's a new full frame 3xMp Photo only 100D bodyweight with no low pass filter + 5D MarkIII AF sensor + 1DX viewfinder for less than 2k price tag and new 35mm, 50mm lenses announcement

Nah... 7DmkII is so yesterday.

It would be cool to call the camera 1/2D... ;) That would tell the world... it is not 1D, and definitely above 7D. It is the 1/2D. Muahahahahaha.

looks like my guess shld be accurate. look at the dpreview's post

"Canon Korea has put up a teaser page for a new camera release. Showing a camera covered in a white sheet, the teaser text reads, "November 2013, Canon will start from the white world. Coming soon," according to a Google translation of the site dicahub.com. While some rumors contemplate an EOS M2 or pro camera, application of a few simple Photoshop tweaks, as dicahub did, reveals a few details that make the camera look an awful lot like a white SL1 with a 40mm STM lens attached."

If they advertise it with the 40/2.8 it's probably not going to be a series 1 body but at least it's an EF lens...

Why Canon Korea? And not Canon USA or Canon Europe or Canon Japan? Teaser is not Canon usual style. Judging by the size of the market and the relative ranking of Canon Korea compared to the other 3, it may not be a top of the line model.

Its a white dslr... mount a white L lens!

Eagerly waiting for Canon to win me over from the dark side hehe

while other brands gives new technology/features, Canon gives new color...

Does SL stand for Sure Lose?

Or for Super Luxury?

Or for So Lousy?
