I am wondering what happened to my thread that i posted last night. It is gone for some reason or another. If i did something wrong, would love to know what it is. Just wondering what happened to my thread in services offered regarding secondlife, online virtual gallery. Thank you. Looking forward to a fast response.

What has all these service got to do with a photography forum?

it seems there are other things that are also part of photography. such as the gallery, the studio, the equipment, showcasing of work, modelling looking for jobs, photographers looking for models. I'm sure my offer is related to photography for sure, in terms of showcase of work, advertising of services, and a shoutout to the world. yet it was just deleted like that. What's up?

maybe you can pm the moderator for that forum

Your thread was removed as it was in violation of our guidelines, namely posting a thread which primarily served to direct members to the site in which you have a personal stake/interest.

sorry. but what personal interest or vested interest are you talking about? I'm doing it free of charge. and I do not profit a single cent from the showcase. So please clarify regarding personal interest. It's a free service i'm offering and I get nothing. In fact, the land in it costs money. If you want to count, i lose money. Well, if it's the admin's decision to delete the thread, then so be it. I just wanted to know the reason and to clarify that I have no personal gain from offering my service.

Well, it's almost like offering space in a real art gallery. Would that be personal interest/stake? I'm uncertain.

would like the admin to know that i'm waiting for a response.

And the response is still the same - your thread was an invitation to draw members from here to your virtual world which you implied that you set up and will need your approval to access/post or otherwise interact in, thus it is in violation of our guidelines and removed.

Here are the pertinent portions of the post which leads us to believe you have a vested interest or stake :-

"We are currently offering free display of your artwork at this Singapore Island which will be Singapore in the virtual world. Approval and display of such work is on a case-by-case basis."

"Interested parties may email me at <<email removed>> at the same address for further enquiries."

I'm sorry but my idea of "vested interest" would mean I would profit in some way from the offering of the service. As seen from Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary

vested interest: a special concern or stake in maintaining or influencing a condition, arrangement, or action especially for selfish ends.

As i have said before, i do not profit in any way through this offer. and the case-by-case basis is a form of quality control. it's singapore to the world. I'm sure some quality is needed. Also, I compared it to a real-life art gallery. Would you react the same way if it was a real world art gallery conducting an art exhibition and looking for interest parties.

What does the rest of the world think?

well. ok astin. astin = world. :) thank you.
