Why Clubsnap is so quiet now?

unfortunately both got banned right? Frankly, not many people survive the ban hammer :)

You can always find them in void decks happier than before.

I still remember last time there was always a war of words between users named student and deadpoet. I dont need netflix back then to keep myself entertained. :bsmilie:

student and deadpoet are welcome to reappear and share their photography and views with everyone :)

A chance to bash old timers and moderators?

Actually I think its just trends, there was a time many people have aquariums and keep lohans and arowana, then after a few years you see people dumping fish tanks at void decks, sell also nobody buy, actually give free also nobody want.

I am now cheaply selling away my camera gear, while they still have some value. Already sold all my Leicas and still some Nikon left. Now clearing my office studio to make space for real work.

Had my fun. Still will play photography but just not spending big money into it. Maybe explore drones now.

the member status of both student and deadpoet are still active.
many people can not see eye to eye with each other in forum, but you will be surprise that they can sit down together for chat and coffee. anytime.
they had contributed to this forum with their wealth of knowledge in photography, just that not many people able to see that.

Chat and coffee sounds good! Time to revive SEED and other get together sessions!

It's surprising to see so many stayers here.
Photography is almost like a life-long passion.
Many have been shooting for the past 10 or 20 years.
I believe given another 10 or 20 years
many will still be shooting as passionately if not more.
They don't need a flying machine to send the camera up the air.
All they need is a simple box with a hole in it
to create a kind of profound, compelling and memorable images.

So will CS which has kept our passion in photography
burning for so many years
and many more years to come.

If the world continues to let disruptive technologies from Apple to damage society and human lives and livelihoods, then many things will undergo big change.

how is it damaging ? actually we've seen nothing yet.. the rate of change will accelerate even faster from now on

technology advancement is inevitable, since from the day human discovered fire.

agreed with sion;

anyway, ones want to keep photography as life long passion, the best way to do it is to challenging own self by refining own craft.

the last time i hold my camera was last year, haha Dec 2016 lah. I am not an old bird in photography but will definitely continue with this passion. CS is definitely getting quiet and it is up the members here to bring it back to life.

Sorry i may not have followed closely enough. we why the photos in the sharing section were reduced to show only recent posts? maybe members can vote the best photo in each section for the month.

Come back to beo clubsex, wow it's so dead now. What happened ?

Let's put it this way, I got deregistered here twice by the same mod. I never had any issues with any other forum over ten years....

The impression I had was the mod thought that because they spent so much more time than the regular poster here, they can treat the poster unfairly. But that is my own pint of view, I am sure the mods feel differently.

I used to post all my vacation pics here for over ten years. Stopped this year and started posting them at mycarforum because there is more activity there. Both are forums, one is alive, one barely...

I feel for you. I think most mods were doing a great job, just a few that were over zealous.

Probably many old birds have acquired new interests e.g. watching :

To start things off on reviving CS, may I suggest we consolidate some of the stickies in the threads? There are too many stickies already, have to scroll far down to even see the threads.

Prismatic - good idea.

Please continue send in all your suggestions so that Darren and admin can make the new CS platform a great one!

For CS to keep on maintaining its place as Singapore's premier photo forum, we need a spiritual father to lead us, to enlighten us and to inspire us.

Maybe there is such a person among us or maybe He is as yet to be born.
