Usually for the Motor Shows, you will see a lot of threads about XMM, and now it's all quiet - which is not a bad thing.. it's a bit sad to see people salivating over the girls and not really interested in the car at all..

This is the longest peace time ever in CS. Let's enjoy and cherish every moment of it.
There used to be a time here reminiscent of the warring Three Kingdoms:
Keyboard Warriors wanting to win arquments for the sake of winning arquments, Red Indians shooting arrows at the side, gunslingers opening defying moderators' decrees, cynical critics with egos bigger than their heads, encyclopedic wisemen who believe google will solve world's problems, pretend lawyers who dispense non-legalese advices, high priests of Canonism or Nikonism trying to convert the innocent lambs to their dark side, narrow-minded moralists standing on high grounds viewing Nude is Humsub work of Art etc. etc. :bsmilie:

Nice to see that so many oldbirds are still active here. Was quite taken aback By the number of "greyed out" sections in the forum. Thought cs was really dead 😢
I remember the good old days... when people bicker over CMOS or CCD, Minolta was still a camera brand and Lexar was king...
Actually, I feel that Clubsnap is a microcosm on Singapore in general and is a good example of when self-censorship goes a bit overboard. Just because a few loud individuals out-shouts the rest, the general population begins to self-censor itself in fear of attracting attacks from these individual. And then the self-censorship becomes the unspoken rule, and then the status quo.

yeah quite true, but hopefully we all can learn that it's important to remain open to ideas and hear others' opinions, rather than we insist our way is the best way. rather than to bicker about which is best, it'd better to talk about how to make it even better

Anyways so many good pointers, keep it coming. At least this chat is very active means still many care about CS.
Instant gratification and easier posting of pictures (including hi res ones) is something I would like to see moving on. Apart from community activities which was very useful when I was a newbie too. But then alot of the lao jiaos also either moved to other passion or family obligations (me too) so many has no much time to organize, we do hope more members can take this up too. Let's make CS great again, ok?

But honestly even as a mod, we learn from others - mod or not. FB, instagram for me serves other purposes and can exists cohesively/concurrently with CS.
