nowadays my policy is to collect L lens only for telephotos. to me wide-angle L are not at all necessary

But there's a down side to this..
When u press it, everything, include you and your cam, runs at that slower speed also.

hahaha. yeah, it's one BIG white lens.

Excellent for shooting models on runway when you need to shoot from behind. But to lug it ard the whole day, really feels like weight lifting.

I would say it depends on the type of photography that you're interested in. For me, I'm doing wedding and model shoot, this lens may not be wide enough, but tele enough for a good bokeh.

If you're asking if I'll go for it, most likely not, cos I'm still happy with my 17-40 L, 50mm and 85mm. I'd rather use specific lenses for specific purposes, although it's more convenient to use a zoom.
