may i interrupt u guys with my msg ;)
class 4 consider or not?
learning class4 now. Hope to drive some big mean machine 1 day :)
anyone has video on how to tie the knot? im having problems mastering it..... :what:

dont learn everything from cabbies... they always let the car freewheel without gear engaged when coming to a stop. that is dangerous.

that what i do also... 60km/h drop my manual gear to neutral and freewheel and stop at traffic light....
if don't freewheel then should do what?

Drop to 3rd engine break :bsmilie:

also try not to rest ur heal on the floor. it's best to follow the method in the theory book cos u can feel the clutch better that way. (at least it worked for me when i was learning)

I prefer to rest the heel on the floor - acts as a pivot so you can control the releasing of the clutch and not throw it easily. :)

Correct procedure. Release acc, let engine brake. Gradually depress brake to slow down speed and then clutch in before engine knocks. Brake before stop line.

Taken from the book, haha! :bsmilie:

still wrong lah... if he at 60km/h most likely on 4th gear. official correct way is to drop to 3rd then 2nd together with foot brake and engine brake, then clutch in before engine stalls. since you stopped, apply foot brake, then you can free gear and release clutch and pull handbrake.

But I at 60km, coming to a stop, release acc then brake a bit to slow down. No change gear unless turning corner lor. Next time got chance, try n see how.

have to drop from 4th to 3rd to 2nd gear... really "le-che"... guess i'm just too lazy to do that...

at least drop 3rd lor... then let engine brake slow down the car together with foot brake.

Hmm.. I will take all these inputs when I start my practical lessons. :)

Wah all of u sound like InitialD drivers, drop the gear here and there......:bsmilie: For me just take MRT and maybe learn to fly a plane, no gears to drop except the landing gear.:bsmilie:

Next time no more private instructor. The practical lesson fee will definitely go up for school:angry:

Abt to book tml for morning lesson but tonight got soccer game. Too bad, anyway, still a long way before test. Need to get a new pair of shoes too, current one as hardly wear for heavy use, sole fall out after lesson. :embrass: :o :(

Passed all papers. 6 lessons taken. 20 lessons booked. 3 lessons booked for practise. 3 more auto lessons haven't book. Test date booked. Wow, can buy a decent DSLR body with kit lens but this one, if pass, last whole life. ;)
