No I purchased those.

I believe the KIT I stand alone price was somewhere around 1,300 (including GST). I was going to get those items anyway (UV filter, dry box, hood, cleaning kit, etc.) so I figured I might was well make it a package deal.

Is the 2x8GB SD cards just for the IT promo?

i.e. I picked up my 550D at Alan Photo and got 1x8GB SD card there. I went to Canon to pick up my Crumpler Bag + Lensbook, but are they supposed to have given me an extra 1x8GB card or was Alan supposed to give me 2?

2x SD cards are IT promotion. If you purchase elsewhere, you are entitled to 1 card only.

If you intend to get the Extended Warranty of 2 years, I'd suggest that you do it fast..

because within 14 days, you get to purchase the extended warranty at a lower price.

Dry box would have cost at least S$100. I am very impress with your negotiation ability.

Dry box and Dry cabinets are different things....
Drybox, a cheap one will cost less than $50.
