Who are the X700 user here?

My X700 shutter and metering no working, anyone know how much to service it? Js a rough guide will do, thanks.

hi there, just gotten my x-700 recently. What kind of russian lens are you using? where can I get them? How's the picture quality?

these lens are quite hard to find nowadays......maybe can try those second hand shops at peninsular....mine are very durable unlike thouse new lens which are so light and flimzy.....the photos produed are very much better compared when u use canon lens.my lens are more then 10 years old already...passed down from my father....who was crazy with photography...
they are still in good condition.......and i really like the firmness and the solid body of the lens......we could meet one day and share some knowledge and u can play around with my lens.......(maybe after my exams )after november 20
....

I have had the camera for 20 years now and it has gotten it it's well deserved overhaul. It costed me $150 including parts, but I understand a simple servicing would start from $80 up. But from the sound of what you mention, it is best to get them to replace the parts while they still have it. It is fortunate to discover such great support from Minolta, I did not think they would have the parts at hand.

In the regards for agent support, we are the most fortunate! Try asking Nikon the cost for servicing/replacement parts for older pro bodies such as F4!!

For servicing, ask for Jeff, he is a good sport.

I have the X-700;XG2;ST101 all camera still in good working condition.
Len - RK50 f1.7; 35-70 f3.5; 85 f2.8; 100marco f3.5;20F2.8(pentagon)
400F5.6 tokina ;28f2.8 tokina ;2xteleconveter(minolta 300 model) body -winder.

It is good system. X700 had won a award if I am not worng. Minolta rokkor len is good for portrait and metering accurate.

I use it on an off as I have Lecia R system.

i forgot about it, cos i got it pretty long ago :bsmilie:
but i rmb it as a real bargain! below $100!!!! cos it was just the body only.
The X370 is in a really good shape and looks as good as new!
The "virgin" roll of flim is still in it! hope it turns out well! :lovegrin:

:thumbsup: I have 2 of them but since I bought my 7d in 2006 I haven't used them at all. I will get them out very soon and shoot film as well as digital. I have all kinds of lenses:28, 35, 50, 60-300, 80-200, 600, bellows III with slide copier, 2-2x converters, motor winder, 280 px flash, and a load of filters. I used to have the Kalimar 500 mirror lens and a Kalimar 28-200 lens until they were stolen from my big rig when it was in the shop back in november of 2005. I was soooo pissed. I'm still looking for a kalimar 28-200 lens for my x700 but haven't found one yet.

Hi... i have two x700 bodes ana array of lenses.. this camera rocks... i use one usually n keep the other one as mint as possible... sometimes still shoot slides with it for fun... its a really nice piece of work... the later models like the dynax 7 is sweet too...
