Does the X-570 count?

ya =)
all in the X series! =)

planning to get maybe a SRT too ? once i got enough of my m42 collections, i will revert back to my MD ones! kekeke :bsmilie:

I just love the viewfinder on my X-570. Its really big and clear. Not even my 1Ds can match its clarity. But I have a problem with lenses though. I need a wide angle...

I have x300. Hey, any plans of organising a shooting outing among all the minolta manual camera bros?

Just recently joined the club. Have a Minolta X-700 with a kit lens and a 28-85 lens. This is my first camera in my foray into the photographic world. So far so good, it works perfectly! Now I just have to develop the virgin roll of film to see if anything's wrong. Most likely it's due to the one holding the camera though. :P

have a x700 passed down from my mom.
dont have body cap, no lens to play with. outside and inside damn dusty.
any idea how much for an overhaul and where to send it to?
doubt sony will know what to do with it....

just send to any of the 2nd hand camera shops around peninsula for cleaning and servicing. i am sure they are more than happy to do it for you with a fee.

Hey guys! I´m new here... I'm from Brazil and my first camera was a X700, and I still have it...

Just love the camera...very reliable and superb viewfinder

Me! In 1994, I borrowed a friend's X700 and that's what started me on this whole photographt trip.

Last week, I finally got to own one for myself!

X700 + Motor Drive 1 + 50mm f/1.4

Love the feel, love the sound it makes.

Then this weekend, a friend's going to let go his spare X700 body, 28mm f/2.8 and 135mm f/2 for cheap. Can't wait! :D

btw, what TTL-compatible flashguns can I use on the camera other than the Minolta's PX series? Thanks!

i used the 4000AF with my x700.
works flawlessly =)
backward compatible with the x-series, although its of a newer range

No too sure the 2 X700 that I sold back in 1990 still working till now in someone's hand. If i'm rich enough, I would normally have kept it till now. Both also attached with a MD1. Haha, not wrong I think this was the 1st camera got :

1. soft-touch sensing on both the camera and its vertical grip(MD1).
2. LED metering indicator.
3. Well designed grip.

I was using a Vivitar 28-105mm and a Tokina 19mm. Took so many couplers' Wedding.

I remember a few type of failures on this X700 due to heavy usage were,

1. Irregular film advancement - space between frame to frame were not consistent
2. Shuttle spoiled.
3. Flash hot-shoes burned

Repair and spoiled again, until cannot take it I switched to Nikon. However, I was still a Minolta fan tat time, esp when it release the 9000, it's 1st autofocus SLR, with hell loads of accessories!!!

Cheers!
