by the way , vincent dive keep spotting manta rays and a 5m whale shark at seven skies. for those who are still going diving this year, maybe you will be interested:

(fom vincent dive's email)

Although we did'nt see any mantas last weekend but A GREAT BONUS awaited us on
our final dive on Sunday - A 5m Whale Shark!

Visibility averaged 15m. Along with the 'gentle giant', there were big rainbow
runners, barracudas, bat fishes, tunas, travellys and thousands of fusilliers
feeding on plankton.

Not to pour cold water on anyone but I understand from sources that Vincent sends out his "whaleshark/manta" emails whenever they spot one during the 7 skies trips. Which means that when there's NO email, they DON'T see whalesharks. However, at the tail end of the dive season in the south china sea (ie now till nov), chances of spotting these large pelagics are greater. But if you go with the expectation that you WILL spot something, you may be disappointed. At best, I wld rate yr chances at 1 in 5.

I do like Vincent's dive operations tho - good service, v comfy boat and great food!! (no flames pls, just personal opinion).

Anyway, here's something to get you all through till the weekend!

Been out for a while as I am doing reservist. Dun have a computer in front of me all the time.

firstly, welcome Laixi. Picturecd not working for u?

secondly, I enjoyed my dives at underwater world tremendously. The feeding of the eagle rays with cockles was awesome. I had a lot of fun interacting with creatures in the tank n those outside. Unless u are a rock star, when is the last time u wave at a tunnel full of people and they wave back? They even want to take pic with u :)

But my friend was workng there then and perhaps having him as a guide made the diff. On top of prolonged dives, I even got to stroke the giant moray. Felt like a piece of lard, if u ask me.

Lastly, kng, u lucky XXXXXX ! 2 molas together!

Can't wait to go diving in Nov to try out my new housing, either BAli or Lembeh
