Which tripod/monopod to get for beginner

Thanks Bro Albert. But they cost a hand and a leg compared to the G-20. This creeping problem is
only limited to my Lumix 45-200mm lens or any other camera-lens combinations with big offset CG
(centre of gravity). I'll find a way out with DIY brackets or modify a lens clamp to move the mounting
of this combination to its CG, then, hopefully, it'll tilt smoothly like a Wimberly Head.:think::bsmilie::bigeyes:

Manfrotto offers a long lens support to move the cg more to the center. I am looking to get one for my long 80-200 as well. Listed for us$60+ in amazon, I have yet to get a quote from local stores.

Sirui R1004 + G10, $120 @ TK Foto.

i have the Sirui R1204 + K10x and boy i love it! only differences between the 2 is that the former is made out of aluminium and the latter utilises carbon fibre. K10x ballhead has a heavier max load and the knobs do not drop out when you unscrew it all the way. the build is better and the tolerance is tighter too, i guess.
