SLR Revolution. Just call them and compare the price and you will see.:)

I havent bought any camera with all of them yet, but I do bought some accessories for my camera.

Bought a tripod at AF(funan) quite some time ago, I stood there thinking coz I was unsure but no one cared to come and ask since I'm standing at the cheapo part of the tripod area. ;p. But they are abit frenly when I ask about the filters. Its the short fat guy.

After that, I decided to invest on a tripod (BBB virus, after bought the tripod at AF sheesh), so my ex-teacher recommend me Camera workshop with the recommended tripod brand and price, when I went it, the first name I mention them is my teacher's name and straight away they gave me even better price. was quite happy.

Then I went to Camera workshop after a few months to get a flash for company's camera. The old man took that flash and put in the battery to let me try, after trying I ask if he can give me discounts or freebies(thick face) hehe. He gave me a diffuser. So I went back to office to show my colleague, when I open it, I saw the light still on. I was mumbling thinking why the old man never OFF that flash...then it spark me. He forgot to take out the Rechargeable batteries inside.LOL. FOC for me.. Founders keepers.

John 3:16..They offered great services and brought my camera from them. They will advise which lense is good and even explain in details.:)

No offense... though their service is good in explaining but all all ur queries can be found online etc- u wanna know which goes well with wat...All these can be found in some books or magazines reviews. Also, their price is not good at all & tats a fact. Good service doesnt come cheap. Another factor is considering the rental they have o pay in Funan.

Hence... wats the point of talking about gears when we shall be taking good pictures & mastering your camera to its potential. Reminds me of ppl parking their cars at Yishun reservoir that side, showing off their engines & talking about car parts which they hardly race in SG.

I used to think tat my 20D sux & at one point wanted to sell... now, I've learnt to appreciate it & have since chg my point of view. Talk less about gears, take more & share more on tips & techniques.....unless u can afford...get all the top range ones then u dun haf to talk.

I just found out that the battery I got with my E-P2 is not by Olympus but has the Irrou (or is it Ittou) Japanese brand. I got this from John 3:16 last week. Will be going there tomorrow to see how it goes. Will post updates here.

Went by John 3:16 the last Monday to get the battery replaced with the Olympus one. I went in and talked to the big friendly guy and he said sorry, no questions, and took a new olympus battery for me. He said it was the battery they use for testing with customers who want to see the camera. I believed him and do think it's an honest mistake. I'm hopefully picking up another battery from them this weekend.

I'm happy with this shop =)

Aye to that.. Me paid extra SGD$40 @ 3:16 for a 430EX flash few years back when I could have got it cheaper eslewhere..My mistake for not checking n comparing prices then. But l'll have to agree with Crabby. One can self learn and get countless advice from the net and books / magazines and putting these tips to use : practice, practice, practice...;)

The battery by right is inside the original package. If they use a 3rd party battery for customers to test, the original one will still be intact (inside the box). Why did they need to take out the original from box and put separately?

Sounds more logical if you find an extra 3rd party battery in the camera together with the original one. So now if you are not aware, they can make an extra profit by selling the original battery?

Sorry I don't have anything against them but this sounds fishy. Unless olympus ship the battery to them in a separate box. This is not the case when I bought my ep-2.

I would say AP at SLS, the salesperson would always recognise me and stop talking to his friends and come out and greet me and ask how i was doing. His quotes to me are really good comparing to the E-quotes from MS. And he would always give me books and magazines to read, from Canon EF to like flash photography, so far i have 5 magazines at home already :) i really like his service, he will make sure its a new set when i was buying a 430EX II. Down there i feel like its a lens library, when i bring my camera there, he would let me test out all the lens there, except maybe the bigass lens there haha. But im not afraid of buying already "tested" lens cause whenever i buy the lens from him, he will go back into his "storeroom" and find a fresh one for me. When i go down to AP i can spend about 2 hours just chit chatting with him and snapping photos using the lenses, saves me from spending 20-40 bucks just to rent it out for a day.

AP is my vote, but i dont like the people at Funan though.. :o

Wanted to get my 5D MII today, so went down to SLR Revo.
Was served by this burly guy, and when I asked whether they have any in stock, he just said - have to check. Didn't even bother inviting me in to discuss and have a look but just stood outside talking about price, etc.

I tell you, this is going to be another one of those shops where I don't think will stand the test of time - they just can't be bothered if they think you're not about to buy. Going back to 3:16 for me - my dignity's worth more than a few dollars.:thumbsd:

Have any of you guys tried 2nd hand shops? I went to one at The Adelphi, it was at the basement say one or two shops beside the one selling choo choo trains and he happened to have some brand new stocks for MB-D10 battery grips. $290 a pop. Definitely cheaper than MS colour or John or SLR revo!!! Box, receipt, warranty card everything intact. I even smelled it and it had that new Nikon Box smell. Not a single user marking on it so its definitely new!

Would recommend trying out that shop...Boss is friendly as well and let me try out all the lenses....

So bro are you trying to say that your dignity is worthless, because it's only worth more than a few dollars? So the 5D MII still worth more than your dignity in this case, i assume?

But importance is did u still buy the 5D MII from SLR Revo in the end?
:devil::devil::devil::devil:

What I mean is I'm not going to tolerate bad svc just to save a few bucks
