InkStation store is out of Funan are the stores at Sim Lim still around?

Inkstation is at Sim Lim Square, SLS (lvl5)...

Alternatively, you could try out MAXTEC Ink cartridges, compatible to HP, Brother, Epson and Canon printers.

I am actually a representive of Maxtec Asia Pte ltd, the distibutor of Maxtec Ink cartridges in Singapore. We are located in SLS, #03-38...

Currently we have about 80 locations in Singapore marketing our products and the feedback has been rather positive.

We made our maiden appearance during the IT show in March 8th to 11th at booth 6475. No, we did not offer buy 1 get 1 free gimmick, but we do offered our papers to try out... And I thank all those who patronised from me during the IT Fair and making our first fair a success.

Btw, Maxtec has its own CISS as well, but unfortunately, like most members in this forum has pointed out. CISS really requires a skilled technician to set up the system and for the end user to lower his/her exp with such a system, becoz there will definitely be some suction problems with the colors, esp with yellow.... It is becoz of such problems, we did not launch our CISS in Singapore yet.

Btw, I hope you can try Maxtec compatibe ink cartridges avail now island-wide. Or alternatively, you could PM me for the models you want, and I could offer a lower pricing to you, exclusively to clubsnap members only.

Cheers and regards,
Spurman

In case anyone missed out, check previous thread: Which CIS ink system is really good for Canon I9950?

I also won't touch I*kst*tion ever again. For non-critical work, I use PioneerTech. Actually, I may just get a laser printer for that purpose.

WTF, i will never ever use pioneer tech, i put it in on my epson c45ux, guess wat happen, i forever cannot take out the cartridge n is stuck there for lie,

so evenm if i send for warranty, i got to take the cartridge out, but i cant

lucky epson staff kind enough to fix it

but after 1 year plus, my printer suddenly die also dono why

anyway, best use original ink because i think so tht u wont encounter vertical lines.

if u die die mus use third party, use sepoms still ok,

products of sepoms i like are, the black ink n the photo paper.

fullmark is even worst, the print is like worst than fax print result

machiam like colour penicl coloured result

lol

again, sepoms paper rocks!

I've been a strong Calidad supporter for the past 5 years. been using it for my past cannon printer (forgot liao) and the newer one cannon i550 for at least 2 years. all is going well for mi i change at least got 20 cartidges liao and pump many times for colour inks. the ink is rather good and it din spoil the head except once which i think is worn out. think pk shop at jurong point and inforcom at funan carries it. a wonderful 3rd party ink for mi.

Of coz Original OEM cartridges give the most optimal results in prints.... More expensive to use of coz.....

As for the compatible ink cartridges, cost is lower becoz lesser R&D is put into. And usually they have to wait for a period of time for the original cartridges to get popular, and also the time to do own R&D, to make the cartridge, so as not to infringe copyrights.

Most brands in Singapapore are OEM made, meaning only avail for Singapore market, like Nippon Ink, Pioneer Tech..

Some strong overseas brands include Calidad from Australia, Mipo and Maxtec from Hong Kong.
And also Peach from Switzerland.... Overseas brands like this have their own factory production plant, thus ensuring ever better QC control.

i am into my third printer using sepom cis...and this will be my last, i swear. had a r310 previously, as i seldom print at home, the ink clogged. sent it back to sepom and they were not able to fix it. at the same time, they had a r230 on offer....all bundled with the cis. bought it, and less than 6 months, it clogged again. this time, i banged table real hard, they tried cleaning it, but in the end, said they will get me a new r230 but to my horror, it's a re-conditioned set but they kept insisting it's brand new. but i lan-lan....but i swear this will be my last sepom...

to be fair to them, even original ink clogs if u r a low vol user.

hopefully by the time this printer konks out, colour laser will be more affordable.

Boh Bian, inks stays at the "suction" area, the sponge area, thus clogging occurs if unused for sometime....... Same theory for cars, long time no drive, also battery weak mah, or long time no exercise, become lethargic...

Hee...

true...but my experience so far, if i don;t use for just 1 day, it clogs and i have to perform a nozzle cleaning for at least twice and letting the bubbles settle before the print job comes our fine again.

but when things are going fine, must admit the color is quite acceptable.

I must admit on a personal note that CISS is a wonderful technology, not perfect yet though, barely acceptable for users who wants economical prints, becoz it really helps to save cost...

However CISS will become redundant when cost of cartridges falls drastically which I do not think it will ever happen.... Coz the only true beauty of CISS is savings.... It is a ugly looking system, with the inks being displayed outside the printer, diff to manage as the suctions of inks still not perfect... Ugly becoz U may experience many wastage, as there could be 1 or 2 colors not printed... (but it also happens using cartridges dun it..) Becoz customer expectation of the product is there, we all expect 100% working, so hence the problems...

Dear all,
I am a newbie here. Found this thread when i was looking for more information about CISS for my printer (HP K550).

I was at SLS today, and Inkstation quoted my sgd320 to convert my printer to CISS. I feel that this price is very expensive because i remember the prices for CISS is around sgd150+.

So have anyone here tried their CISS on HP Officejet Pro K550? I would like to know your feedback on this?

Thank you very much.

well.... i am now experimenting with the inks from inkstation... and well.... this is not even the 10th page with my printer yet. and the colour cat. is now probably clogged.

C- ok
M - clogged
Y - clogged
K - ok

well.....:dunno:

Tried using Sepom CISS before. Bought for $150 from SLS and went back but could not set it up and also ink catridge was for wrong printer. Mind you I brought my printer for them to see. Brought printer back to SLS and technician could not help and told me to go to Funan. Went to Funan and Chinaman boss say half hour. Ended waiting for 3 hours and he still cannot make it work. Spilled ink on my printer and still tell me to wait. I told him no more waiting. Just give me my money back. He refused. I told him I will not leave his shop until I get a refund. Finally told me to go back to SLS to get refund. By this time my print head is spoilt.

2hrs into getting the colour cart. to work...

now...

black is working fine.

colour cart. i dun think soo.....

I have a lot of problem with this 3rd party ink cat. Well it works well with it is new, but after a few pages, the cat get stuck and you will try to clean and clean until half the ink is gone before the stuck cat is working again.

So from this incident on, I rather pay for a orginal ink and it work till the end.

For my Canon photo printer I try to use original ink. But for the HP all-in-one used to print paper and stuff, generic works just fine.

All this talk about the ink, does anyone use Sepoms paper? Example, anyone using original inks from say, Epson/Canon and Sepoms paper? Hows the color and quality compared to using original paper? I dun expect 100% match, but any reviews anyone? Are there any paper profiles from Sepoms?

sepoms paper whites are not as pure and color not as vibrant as canon paper. i tried before and out out is not ideal. further more sepoms ink kill my i9950 print head, have to spent 105 buy new print head, plus time wasted. not worth it.

Thanks gomobile. does anyone else have any inputs? no one here use sepoms paper?
