hi i'm using sepom ink system for 3 mths with my canon ip1600 and its doing fine. in fact all my collegues and friends are amazed by the quality and price.

anyway even if my printer spoils after a yr, its only $99 which costs less than 2 full sets of original refills.

also , the ip1600 print heads are on the cartridge so if the print heads spoil, just buy a set of original refil cartridges.

i've gotten 2 more systems and 2 printers from sepom (total $230/set) for my office and church. so far both can print well with no streaks, although one leaks ink a bit.

my conclusion is that sepom CISS is pretty reliable though i would suggest you test out the printer and ciss before you accept the set. the yellow ink from some of their refills seem rather dull. but overall i'm quite pleased with my purchases.

last year sep, i bought ciss from inkstation for $150. really regret man. i had problems installing, then had to send it down and wait for 3 hrs. the refilling is a pain coz it is on the side not the top (unlike sepom). 7mths later, the ink system didn't work. i bought a whole set of new cartridges only to discover the problem was that the ink from the ciss leaked and spoilt my printer. oh well. at least my printer was a very old one.

based on my experience, i would advise to buy sepom and not inkstation.

I am currently using the INKSTATION CIS for my Epson R230 printer. Got it recently at the September IT fair 2006. Gave me a bunch of photo papers, 4R Glossy, SemiGlossy, A4 Glossy and A4 Photo Paper (normal paper but heavier, more for presentations)
Damm original inks too expensive to do some home mass printing.

Initial setup was somewhat troublesome. Ran into problems in gettin the ink to flow properly and stick onto the printin medium. I recommend to bring your printer for the INKSTATION ppl to help u attach the inks. But once, the setup is done properly, everything is back to normal, its pretty easy to troubleshoot too... if u work carefully, but if you are scared, can go back INKSTATION.

One thing i learnt, nvr leave your printer on for too long if you are not printing, especially overnight, bloody inks will "evaporate" and the next print will look werid and u have to use the provided syringe and "move" the ink or even drain the ink using the EPson software. REMEBER TO off IT.... I already had to waste ink 3 times already.

The CIS inks are waterproof but the "free" paper is not... haha. I think the EPSON paper is not waterproff too.. can some1 help me check? haha.

I would recommend INKSTATION, it seems fine for me now and hopefully in the long run.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Inkstation Cis systems are CRAP! Damaged my C60 and STYLUS 895 permanently.
You have been warned. Chinaman boss of Inkstation did not want to hear about it

How did u damage your printers? The only imaginable things i can think of is, human error, or some "accidental" spillage. Worst scenario is u got a faulty good.

Me and my friend doesn't seem to be having a problem with inkstation.

I am open to replies on why i shld consider to ditch my inkstation now.

Hi, like I mentioned somewhere earlier, getting such CIS is a hit-or-miss affair. If you don't have a problem with it, then that's good news. No need to ditch it if it serves you fine. As for anyone else who hasn't purchased it yet, all we're saying is that the numerous negative (and some positive) feedback is just something to consider.

Orginal ink is the best, if you can't afford the ink, then send the print to the photoshop, it will save a lot and you do not have to do the work....

I'm using Canon i905D, and fullmark cartridges for C Y M Bk, and original Canon for the PC and PM. Have been using fullmark for about 2 years now, so far I'm happy with the result, colors very good. Experienced head cloged a few times, but solved with deep cleaning.

The reasons I'm using Fullmark is:
1. Good color, almost the same as original for photo printing, and reasonably lasting (about 1 year with little fading, depend on the paper). FYI, I use Canon, Epson, Fullmark, Ilford, and other cheap brands InkJet and Photo paper.
2. Very cheap during PC / IT show / Comex, they usually selling 2 cartridges for about SGD 7.-. I thing the amount of ink is less than the original BCI-6, but the price is about 1/4 the original, so still cheaper.

I'm interested to try Inke, but don't know where to get it, appreciate for any advice :)

I used SEPOMS before. I bought their ink sysytem for $199 at last year's PC show for my Epson R210 printer. After about 1 month, the prinhead clogged. I sent to their office at Kallang. After 1 week passed by, I called them up only to hear them say that they cannot repair my printer so they have to send it to Epson to repair. After about 2 weeks, I called them again and was told that my printer was still under repair. I got so fed up that I asked for replacement printer while my printer is being repair. They gave me an old used R210. After about a month, still no news about my printer. They don't even bother to call me. After about 5 months of using their old printer, the printhead clogged again. I was in a midst of a project, so I have no other choice but to buy another printer. This time, I bought Canon IP4200 using original ink. So far no problem. I have put aside the Epson R210 printer. The guy from Sepoms still did not contact me. I have lost hope in them. So, the moral of the story, DON'T TRUST SEPOMS!:thumbsd: :thumbsd: :thumbsd:

I've been using Epson printers for quite some time and have seen that the printer cartridges prices have gone up drastically with individual colour cartridges.

I've used Sepom cartridges with my Epson CX5300 without any issues. Unfortunately, Sepoms have discontinued the cartridges. I'm now using the Inkstation continuous ink system(Mini King) which cost $150 and it is a POS. My printer head is now clogged after doing head nozzle cleaning.

No wonder I've seen many people bringing in their Epson All in one when I was buying my Inkstation CIS last month.

I've decided to buy a Canon IP1700 as it uses only two ink cartridges instead of Epson which needs four cartridges. The price of the four Epson CX5300 ink cartridges is about the same price of the Canon IP1700.

If anyone here have issues about what I've been saying about the Inkstation CIS being a POS, PM me and you're invited to my house to see my Epson CX5300 with the CIS not working.

Heh. I totally gave up on my Inkstation. Wanted to give it away, but I couldn't find anybody I hate enough to give it to, so I just threw it away. I think literally throwing $175 in hard cash down the drain is easier to take than the time, money and effort that I had wasted on this piece of junk.

I concur, it was a bad buy in my part too. But

So.......there is just no other way other than buying expensive original catridges? it is just so strange that all those third-parties stated in here gives problem. there ought to be at least one good third-party brand right?

I guess that's quite true, had been using the original ones since the other time I tried a third party and mess up. Ha ha. Wasted even more money. :bsmilie:

I am using Sepom CIS with Epson R210 for over a year already. Print mainly photos, to date a few hundreds 4R and many A4s. My experience is more than satisfied with with the ink. No leaks, no messy stuff etc. I have asked the seller to install a tube to drain the waste ink into an external bottle. The ink is also very close to Epson's original. Before I bought the system, I brought my calibration colour image files and a few different 4R paper to test print on the spot. To my surprise, the colour is so close to those printed on Fuji Supreme Paper that I bought the system and printer from them straight away. I never regretted, I recommended my friends and they too had no problem at all. I am not sure how you guys get leaky inks etc, did you install a external waste ink container? :)

Although I have abused my printer with so many print job. I do take great care with it by covering it when not in use to keep dust away. I also use it frequently to prevent print head clog.

use orginal lah.. why 3rd party...

WOW, inkstation so bad type one la?

Anyway i bought my printer at inkstation, i chat with him abt 1 hrs before i buy printer plus 3rd party ink.

If u want to buy from ink station , only talk to a guy who wear spec, he know alot of thing.
He did tell me that alot of ink not very stable for some model (printer)
I think if u want to buy printer with 3rd party, ask them before buy printer. (NOT all printer is stable if use 3rd party ink)

3 mths ago, i bought this Epson R230, printed abt 500 papers. Still running good. By the way, i didn't buy full set, i need to manually top up. ( not those ext. ink whereby can see the tube)

When this printer down, i will Post it again. Hope my printer lifespan can last
(sorry , my english not good, hope can give some info to all)

add on:
by the way, i using 200 GSM Premium Glossy Photo Paper, is water proof... I not sure is it paper gave waterroof or ink.
Very good quality picture at this time. ( will updated when it start problem)
