I know you mentioned prime. The 70-200 f2.8 IS is extremely versatile for outdoor, studio, indoor portraiture.
One of the lens which i thought of for myself because of the versatile..
But if bokeh is the main concern, i think a lot of prime lens will win in coz of bigger aperature..
As TS mentioned full body shot, you'll probably want more than a thin DoF so won't be shooting WO. For half body or head shot, you can alway zoom to 200mm f2.8, the bokeh is creamier and smoother than a lot of primes. But yes, you can't mimic a single eye or a strand of hair in focus kind of shot.
