Yes. OOF = 1.6x, aka crop F2.8 = FF F4.
For this case, getting a 5DMarkII with 85mm F1.8 might work out better than ur current body with 50mm F1.2L.

That's new, didn't now that the crop factor affects the aperture other than the focal length.

Not that the aperture changes...but the apparent bokeh that you see with F2.8 on a crop frame will be of the same degree as F4 on full frame

Depth of field is deeper by 1.6times, when on crop as compared to ff sensors, thus it also equates that dof is shallower on ff vs crop. this is what gives you that blur you're looking for on a dslr. noticed that bokeh is almost non-existent on pns cams?

One of the lens which i thought of for myself because of the versatile..
But if bokeh is the main concern, i think a lot of prime lens will win in coz of bigger aperature..

As TS mentioned full body shot, you'll probably want more than a thin DoF so won't be shooting WO. For half body or head shot, you can alway zoom to 200mm f2.8, the bokeh is creamier and smoother than a lot of primes. But yes, you can't mimic a single eye or a strand of hair in focus kind of shot.

I thought for full body shot, its quite safe to use large aperature even up to 1.8 or even 1.4?
I thought only headshot, its not wise to use until so big as it might be sharp at the focus point but the rest of the face might be blurr...
