Lol no worries. I was quite worried about Sigma too, but thought like...why not give it a try? Besides, if anything goes wrong, the most is tt i send it for servicing. Test out both lenses first, then make a decision on which is better.

Cheers
QX =)

Only lenses, even 3rd party, must have the word (D) inorder for the lens to support ADI? Desmond, ADI, remember the helmet? ;) ;p

What a big different in minimum focusing distance. Sigma having a 40cm while KM is 85cm. Hmmm.... Sigma seem good for now......... :think:

huh? what KM lens has 85cm minimum focusing distance? :dunno:
the 28-75 f/2.8?

The 28-75 has a minimum focusing distance of 33cm.
What is stated there is the 28-70G lens.

Perhaps you might want to note the difference.

Ok Ok, my fault. Sorry.

Anyway, thanks for those who has input. Will try out both lens (if Sigma is available) and then give comments again. Thanks again, have a nice day. :D

how about tokina 28-70/80 F2.8? read some review and good review on it, especially the optic and "traditionally" the build quality surpass other brand.

not sure about this lens used with 7D. I think B.W owns this lens and he also uses 7D. can ask him about the performance.

Saw this tokina wide lens at price guide n took a look at it. It only have one aspherical while those zoom lens, got 2 or more. Therefore, is a single aspherical lens enough to handle this wide lens? (Their 28-70 has none! :bigeyes: but their 28-80 is normal, 2 X aspherical n 1 SD lens) Me headache! :sweat:

Now then I notice how useful those meter reading on the lens. Esp those under the plastic cover.

Why I say so as it is because when I try a HSS shooting, which is at 1/8000 under S mode. I saw the reading on the flash is <1.5m and therefore, I make sure I am within that distance. Not sure abt the result, will post it when got chance. Maybe gone case, haha! Therefore, Sigma lens suit me most as I am a guy who like to explore different setup ;)

(Object is a mirror, those selling at ikea with one side magnifty.)
