Which foldable tripod is most value for money?

Just scan the reciept and keep a soft copy and print another hard copy...

No problem...btw do you know why Sirui only has 2 of those foam thingies on the legs rather then three?

There you go.. that is the perfect answer.

In that case any brand using three or none are doing it wrong then...next time got gathering and if people ask, this will be my answer. I will quote it from here.

brought only the tripod without the ballhead?

I am using Benro Carbon Fiber tripod. Am satisfied.
Steady, light weight (no doubt, C-F) & comes with a solid carrying case.
Affordable compared to Gitzo & Manfrotto!

Reusing the manfrotto ballhead from my heavy duty tripod since it will not be seeing much action in coming weeks.

Most carbon tripods do not come with it because it is not as cold to the touch compared to metal legs. Those having 3 is just adding unneeded weight. Seeing how this is a travel tripod, all unnecessary weight is best kept off.

If you really want it lighter, you can disassemble the legs and remove the foam grips.

It's not wrong. It's just unnecessary and sales gimmick to make ppl pay more......

Some ppl like it, some don't.

Some cars comes with built in GPS. some don't. It's just a sales gimmick. Some ppl like it, some don't.

Have seen friends' Benro, the finish is rough, not polished at the edges. Not silky smooth to the touch. Sirui is shockingly well made.

Yes u r right.

The finishings of benro and manfro are rough. Not refined at all. Not smooth at all

We don't really need the leg warmmer form here, I remove mine not because of make it lighter, it less the 20g per piece anyway. Just don't want the form to collect oil, sweat, dust, sand became dirty and smelly. So it is much easy to maintance too.

In the end I bit the bullet and bought a gitzo, mainly because it is the best and at the prices that the knock off are selling at, it is still a lot of money.

The Sirui carbon fibre tripod feels good :D very light as well

I agree. Was nice that all it took was 2 assignments to pay for the tripod. :)
