:bsmilie: works for me... y not u?

Though i haven't tried the LS, but bounce cards and omnibounces each should have their special purposes mah.

maybe its me or my style of flash photography with a flashgun...
ever since i've used a LightSphere.. i never ever touch a omni-bounce, bounce cards, omni-pocket...etc. etc.
my flash fotography with a flash-gun before i discovered LightSphere is, in a nutshell, pathetic. :)

i tried alot of flash diffusing accessories in my search for the perfect flash diffuser. and i mean alot.

so far, my search stopped at the LightSphere.:)

of course, results vary from user to user. but if a lousy and pathetic user of the very normal flash-gun can achieve very satisfactory flash photos with the LightSphere, i wonder y other beginners can't?

i feel that the LightSphere really made my flash learning curve less steep. use it more often and u would agree with me that LS is the best.

sure, bouncecards...omnibounces... have their place among different photographers with different style.
take it from me, the LightSphere is the easiest to learn and master.

Cheesecake - Can tell that u're really very supportive of the LS. Maybe one day i should try it.

drumma - Nice pic there but the pic looks over-exposed.

I myself own an omnibounce and a bounce card and i must say results are pretty gd too. Actually i did consider the LS but now i'm currently using 420EX. Dunno if i should buy a better flash and get the LS with it or get the LS for my 420EX instead.

I've also heard that there's a new LS coming named 'cloud'.

Being a pro, I have a very high-tech solution to this problem.

I usually use my left hand, temporarily extended behind the flash head like a bounce card. It is warmer than white, which gives a nice, flattering fill card warmth. And it is always ready - no rubberbands needed. :)

Better yet, get a lightstand and really get the most out of your small flash. There is a lot of information on that here.

hi, strobist! Thanks for sharing your insights about lighting and flashes! :) i enjoyed very much reading your articles!

no la, the pic is not over-exposed. still ok. but how come no police catch that guy with only the boxers on?? :bsmilie:

before LightSphere, i was literally a 'lost sheep'. hahaha
the LS Cloud, i think is just a re-make of the original LightSphere la. anyway, will buy it once it becomes available.

as for canon's flashes, i only know the 550 and the 580ex versions... paiseh.. Nikon user.:bsmilie:

horses for the courses. there's no THE ONE flash modifier out there.

There is one for the 420EX but not sure if it's worth to buy for it or until i upgrade my flash system.

That time i asked one of the salesperson in CP whether the LS cloud is out, he dunno anything.

shouldn't all Canon users be using metz flashes instead? or the 580Ex(IMHO, it is way over-priced).

LS PJ2 works for me. so too the original version. but i keep to LS PJ2 most often nowadays becos it is more convenient to bring about.

u can ask other fellow CSers(2 prominent wedding fotographers come to mind)who uses LightSphere. not everyone shares their experience and information that freely and i m just telling u my point of view as a user of this product.

but of course, one should use whatever one is comfortable with and feels that it can achieve the desired effect.

someone mentioned using the flash gun via some wireless connection... yeah, y not? if everyone's level of flash understanding is that good, then go ahead and be creative.

otherwise, u should jus get a LS PJ2 and be happy with the outcome it can give u. i believe u'll be pleasantly pleased with the results.

Then i'll have to try it soon! haha

anyone knows where to get a light sphere?
and whats the price for it?
thanks in advance
