Hi,

May I know which card do you use to settle your transactions on PayPal? I was told not all credit cards are acceptable. Also, there are some debit cards able to be used for this purpose.

So, any recommendation?

Thank you.

no recommendation? :(

I think mine is direct from Saving bank? Cant rem. :)

I'm using DBS debit card. Always use a debit card for internet puchases.

Actually paypal would accept most credit cards or debit cards for that matter. To allow for easier payments online

Actually is not so much about the bank who issued the card. It the "network" which they use for the card. Like u know Masters or Visa....

Note: erm dunno if "network" is the right word to use, but yea, as long as u get the idea lah...

Opps, juz notice its an old thread once again..... TS probably settled his problem of which card to use alrd...

VISA, MasterCard or Amex should all work. But your bank needs to help you verify the card before you can use your card on paypal.

i've been using the POSB Mastercard debit. Easy to use and so far no problems. i maintain <$150 on average, so not much money in there to fraud also. Also hve a UOB Visa R Gold Debit card, but hve yet to try it on paypal cos POSB one still working fine.

To get the paypal account 'verified' hve to pay $3. that's wad i had to go through anyway. not sure of the rules change le.

wah lao. 2007 thread. who go and dig up de? mod can help close it? ts probably solved his problem already.

The theory is that any online transaction should be paid, wherever possible, by a debit card rather than a credit card. This only exposes your debit card number to the internet world.

Using a debit card reduces liability because you can maintain S$100 or less in the account and hence, any liability is limited.

The advantages of a debit card as opposed to a credit card where you can also set a low limit, is that it is easy to raise the debit card limit, by simply transferring funds in. Credit card raising is harder as you need to then write to the CC company. Not as flexible.

What is the theory. Thanks.

waa....2007 thread. lol :bsmilie:
