Wow..I think you shoot more pics than me in a trip.
25 days in Bali and I think I only took like 200 images but that was just WA.

after u start taking raw.. u'll learn to take less but more quality photos hahahaha

but i realise i take more when i do macro.. and WA. prob 20-30photos/dive max.. unless its a very special occassion like the mantas and whale sharks are here to play and love to be flashed at :D

haha yeah...i went to bali for 3 days of diving, and came back with 18 pictures in the memory card. after QC, left 4. sad man...

My skill in photographry still sucks lah..... thats why I'm into the teaching of "Shoot here, shoot now..... plus shoot some more".

Hahaha.... most..... almost all of my photo of any single animal (hairy frogfish, painted frogfish, Mantis shrimp..... etc) is photographry many times, at least 3-5 times.;)

Hahaha.... thats why can clock so many photo. ;)

Why isn't Olympus just aint that good?

Being a faithful Olympus user and owning the E300 with a number of ED lenses and SP320 and SP350 all Olympus.

I must say that yes, Olympus SP320 and SP350 is indeed sucks when comes to UW photography. Even on the Olym DSLR, focusing is not that fast too.
The shutter lag is very slow and
focusing under dim lighting (which is the case for uw photography even with touch and ext strobe) is very difficult.
I was trying to focus on the pigmy seahorse and also the Nudi but all out of focus even when the focussing distance is claimed to be 2cm for SuperMacro and I place the lenses was not less that the focusing distance, even with their build in focus assist light.
How you like to take a rare fish or mantas or whale shark when the moment you press the shutter, it takes a few seconds before the photo is taken and each time your photos turn out to be the tail part of the fish?

Some independent reviews:
http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/olympus/sp350-review/

I sent a feedback to Olympus Singapore and hope that they can really solve this limitation on SP350 or else many faithful Olympus users such as me will switch to other brands. I saw uw photos taken on Canon point and shoot. They are really good and looks like that taken from DSLR.
Another thing is don't be fooled to go for the high Mega Pixels. High Mega Pixel does not equal quality. You can have a 6 Mega Pixel with good lenses and good processors and you can have a better photos than one that is 10 or more Mega Pixels.

Past Experience with Olympus to upgrade their firmware was also bad.
The last time I feedback on the E300 but the followup with the R&D developers was bad and end up nothing was done. and no followup and no reply from them. The last firmware was 1.4 and there should be more being done to constantly upgrade the firmware so that all these issues can be ironed out but seems like Olympus choose to build more newer models instead of solving the problems of older models. If they go on this way they will lose more and more Olympus customers.
