ha ha,, dun think we are about to absorb all their batteries... rechargeable man...

Not worth buying from Thomas Distributing. Reason being that they don't pack their merchandise well. The last time I ordered something from them, the sides of packing box was ripped open and the styrofoam peanuts were half emptied. Luckily the merchandise I ordered was still inside. What if I had order something smaller. The contents will go MIA.

neber heard of such case in other forums

not really keen in the 801D
keen in the la crosse 900 ...

This happens to me leh... Just to share what I had encountered.

The LaCrosse 900 is the exact same charger as Maha PowerEx C9000 WizardOne.

Yes... Same price as Eneloop.

Ah! Thanks, photobum. Like that might as well get the Imedions, they have 100mAh more than Eneloops. (2100mAh vs. 2000mAh)

called ms color earlier, they have no stock for maha powerex mh-c801d charger. should be in next week. will call them again next week to check out.

100mAh more is no big deal. Improve in performance may not even be noticeable.

Check with Eastgear today. They said that LaCrosse 900 is different from Maha PowerEx C9000 WizardOne. They are OEM by the same manufacturer though.

i guess it is down to preferences then. their characteristics should be also similar.

or if there is anyone who has both would like to comment on practical usage?

I was told by the ms outlet staff today they are not bringing any more maha powerex mh-c801d charger.
Can anyone double confirm?

New stocks for the MH-C801D came in this afternoon. I just got mine from MS Color for $135 (with GST). It includes eight pieces of PowerEX 2700 AA size batteries, a transparent battery case and an international voltage power adapter.

hmmm so Eastgear actually sells more expensive. need to go down to ms color to see see look look...

how much are nicd batteries generally? easy to find them?

NiCd batteries have much lower capacity, the advantage is that it can handle really high current discharging. Today's cameras and flashes don't require such high currents to operate so there's little point to pollute the environment with NiCds. :bsmilie:

By the way, for those of you who are planning to buy from MS Color, they brought in 5 pieces. Two pieces reserved for SPH (yes, Singapore Press Holdings), I bought one, and they have two pieces left as of this evening. While stocks last. ;)

Similarly, you can buy direct from Eastgear or TK Foto. Eastgear told me that they only brought in limited sets.
