Zeiss lenses have recently report problems with light leaks, especially with Leica cameras. Check out the posts on the other internet sites. Zeiss is currently looking into this major problem and it seems that focal lengths above 18mm to 50mm are affected, including the Biogon 35mm f/2.8.

Cheers,

Good colors! Yours might be from the earlier batch which is free of any problems. One of the screws are in the exact place where the 6 bit coding is located. Thank goodness!

As I said on another forum, I never had any problems with Zeiss lenses. I had/have the following lenses: 21/2.8, 25/2.8, 35/2, 50/1.5, 50/2. So I believe this is not a systematic problem, it just happened on the most recent batch of lenses I believe.
