Where to buy LX3

Today i asked MS Color and get this quotation

which do you think better packages ?

LX3--$679(inc.gst) bundle with 8g card, case worth $49, oem battery worth
$35, lcd protector

Worth $13.50 plus mini tripod and cleaning kit

I saw the different only with Minipod and card reader with AP, how much does it cost for that things ?

I'm not sure of the cost, but I bought in APSL because I would just need to topup SGD 50 to get the leather case :thumbsup:
 

I got friend bought the LX3 in AP on friday evening, as per tele-conversation AP claimed that the case is still avail and she can top up 50 for the case.
When she reached there, the salesguy told her the case (DMW-CLX3) is out of stock and will try to find one for her in couple days times.
Then she just bought the camera 1st and wait for the case to come. Unfortunately, she received call from AP saying that the case in not avail anymore and need to wait one month and my friend does not entitle to their casing up-size promotion anymore.

From what I read in this thread,
1. Some user able to get the DMW-CLX3 in saturday, one day later than my friend.
2. Some of the consumers intended to buy in AP not because of their service but they like the DMW-CLX3 case.

Perharps, I should advice her to buy in MS Color for future photography upgrades.

I was probably one-step ahead of your friend ... Went to APSL on Friday evening, ard 6 plus, to get my LX-3. After much searching, Bryan managed to hunt down the last DMW-CLX3 casing in the shop for me. While I was checking through the items, a bespectacled girl came into the shop and ask for the same camera and leather case. She was told by a sales assistant that they have run out of DMW-CLX3. I did not follow their conversation but I saw the girl making payment for the camera thereafter.

Btw, I am a regular customer of MS Color - I know the boss (Mr Loh) and can get good discounts. Like the other forumers, I choose to buy LX-3 from APSL because of the DMW-CLX3 casing.
 

Guys, I'll be heading to Perth soon... Do you guys know whether LX3 is available in Perth? If so, is it cheaper than what is offered here?

Appreciate any advice.

You must think of warranty too... don't think you can transfer the warranty... :think:

Am a noobie to this forum. I was thinking of getting my first P & S and a photography friend recommended me to get the Panasonic LX3.

Was thinking of heading down to MS Color to get a quotation since I live in the North but as I am heading to Scotland soon, and might be there for a year or more, would it be cheaper to get a camera over there instead?

Trinitra,

Electronics and electrical products are very much expensive in Scotland, compared to Singapore ... based on my past experience of living and studying there.
 

I am planning to get from MS color. So Alan photo does not have the casing already?

Hi I just bought LX3 at $679 from AP on Wed. Comes with screen protector, 8G card, card reader, mini tripod, top up $50 for the leather case.:)

Oh? The leather case back in stock?

i get the impression that LX3 is cheaper here as with most electronics since singapore as less if not no tax on their imports. the only place where it could be cheaper would probably be HK. but of course you'd also need to know where the good and 'reliable' shops are. if you are not sure, it may be best to get the LX3 here in singapore. :)

Hi, I dont know if the stock is back. I asked Joseph of Ap at funan. He reserved one leather case for me. Tel 68830922, you may try calling Joseph and asked if there's any stock left.

Am looking for LX3.
May I know where is MS color? cos seems like many have mentioned it and got it from there.

got my lx3 from mscolor yesterday. here's the deal:
$679(inc.gst) 8g card, case, oem battery and lcd protector.

asked abt the leather case, was told it cost $149, have to make reservation.
i countered that APSL only asking for $50 more and was told that is NOT the real stuff..but a "third party" case...hmm..dunno who is lying.
 

yes the OEM battery is in addition to the original panasonic battery.
i don't need the tripod and cleansing kit so did not ask for them.

originally had wanted to get from APSL but went down twice..and twice they ran out of stock...leave my contact behind but they never reply or reserve for me..so went to MS Color since they have stock.
 

I just went to APSL. Out of stock.
The people there told me 19th May 2009 stock arrive.
I guess I will wait till the IT show since the date is quite near.
