Where to buy film below $3 in Singapore?

Just wondering where is the cheapest place to buy film in Singapore?

So far Ruby's (Penninsular Plaza) prices per roll are:

- Fuji 200 24 exp: $3
- Fuji 400 36 exp: $3.50

I think CP has them slightly cheaper

get 3 rolls of fuji 400 at $8.5 from CP

Where to get Pro film? I'm thinking of getting some iso400 for wedding shoot

It'll be cheaper if you buy in bulk.

Which film do you suggest? A good all-rounder that'll cover the whole day (tea ceremony/oudoor shoot/dinner)?

do a search with the keywords nph400 ,press 800 :)

Thanks for all the response.

Reason for asking is because wanted the convenience of buying in rolls rather than in bulk and the hassle of loading.

Also found out the that Carrefour sells its own brand of films, which according to its packaging is made in EU:
- $5.20 for 2 x ISO 200 ($2.60 each)
- $6.30 for 2 x ISO 400

Understand that Konica films are similarly priced in some shops - don't know where though.

Bought a set Carrefour 200s to try out the quality.

I think what Adam means is buy in large quantity rather than bulk roll ... eg. if you go to CP and ask for 10 rolls, you should get better prices than 1 or 2 ... and perhaps better if you ask for 20.

I don't know if you can even buy negative film in bulk rolls ...

One note ... if you're shooting a wedding, don't take a chance, go with a film that you've used before, or buy something and experiment so that you know how the film behaves in different light conditions in your camera (each camera model may have slightly different exposure characteristics, especially if you use the highly professional "P"rogram setting ;) )

I would also not buy any "off" brand ... stick with the biggies like Fuji, Kodak or even Konica. And do the first process at a "pro" lab, you don't want the chance of a neighbourhood shop stuffing your negatives up unless you've used them consistently.

Weddings are always a worry ... very high expectations, coupled with the fact that you've only got one shot at it.

And since you're shooting negative film, just burn film throughout the day ... don't hold back.

I wonder which place can develop the films for you, since most shops will not have the data for Carrefour films.....

It's the same, I often buy in 10 - 20 boxes (meaning 30 -60 rolls) of Fuji films (may it be 200 or 400), still same price ;).....

Have just developed a roll of Carrefour ISO 200 film at one of those normal developing shops.
Print is a little grainy compared to similar speed Fuji & Kodak film.
Color is ok though.

Have been advised that Konica Centura films (ISO 200) sell for $2.60 a roll at No.1 Color Centre chain of shops. Anybody tried this film yet?

Which is a good b&w film? Am looking for at ISO 400 speed but not that grainy.

Konica centuria is kinda all rounder. suitable for all levels, all occasions. :)

Centura is a ok flim, not to great, not to lousy either. The latitude for this film is nowhere near as wide as Fuji or Kodak film .....

Just my 2cts.
