Where is an actual thread of pictures TAKEN with the 5DIII ?


it's not colour cast, it's the reflects from the car.

when taking photos whereby your subject is metallic or very polished or reflective, you are usually encouraged to use a CPL to prevent unnecessary reflections off these surfaces.

Erm, reduce glare from windscreen I can still understand, but why would you not want reflection for car photos? I mean even most car catalogue photos don't use cpl...the reflection is there to say the car is shiny, glossy and well groomed, isn't it?

well CPL doesn't cut all reflections, but reduction. I'm not a car shoot though, can't provide much either :p

from what I see from car catalogs and magazines, yes they do make the car body look shiny and polished :) but you are right on the windscreen, it's reflecting too much background stuff ;)

I thought so too.... too much reflection....... shinny is ok.....

cos not many are fans of HDR, especially those are "overdone", like surrealism thing. ;p
