Nice~! there is always something about a silky terrier's hair if groomed nicely
At least yours does hate the camera, mine hates having his photo taken.
Only way I got that shot was to let him play ball until he is too tired to even bother with my camera. usually the minute I take it out, he will start looking away from the lens.

nice to see some low ISO shots for a change haha... i went to marina bay area as well ystdy! just that i had no tripod and was shooting at iso 1600 and above hehe

This is a cropped shot. Taken with a 70-200 IS II @ 200mm, f2.8, 1/320s, colour temp 2800K, ISO 1000, no noise reduction applied.

DR got to be at least 2 stops better as the D800 is 2.5 stops better than 5D2 according to DXO.

I went to the Ilight Marina, although i had a tripod on me, i also had a 60D with me with the 17-40L and i used that one for long exposure shots and true enough, the IQ from that camera vs the 5D3 was almost identical so i decided that i wanted to use the 5D3 and capture handheld at night and see what kind os IQ i could get…more like a simulation of handheld low light shooting previously impossible with my 60D. Even at a wedding dinner, I didn't use a flash and managed to handhold the 5D3 and took numerous great shots with my 24-105L that i was NEVER able to before. the 5D3 really opened up a whole new possibility with low light.
So here are some shots taken HANDHELD all at F8-11…(noted that without long exposure the water wouldn't be smooth but that wasn't the point of my tests)

I think the reason is because you did not pay him for the shoot... so he does not let you shoot....
Try next time you bring the camera, and you feed him some feed, and train him to like seeing a camera....

Testing out the in-cam HDR function. Photos are soc jpg. Honestly, I think it is pretty ok considering that the day is a very cloudy overcast sky with boring light. Find that HDR will auto crop a bit when aligning, i.e. if you frame nicely, some parts will be chop off.
Sometimes, there will be halo if there is slight shift of camera. In certain situations, it might just simply look fake...

Shot under expose. Pull up 1.5stop. Can see banding in full size even though it is just iso320.
Testing shadow noise in lower iso...
Wide open shots...not that these will wow or have any meaning, but I really like the thin dof.
