Hello all,

I will be getting a few sets of Eneloop batteries and I heard from various sources that some place in SLS (not sure) or somewhere can get cheaper. Appreciate if someone can point to me where excatly are the shops that sell at better price. :) 10q

Try ronwong's thread HWZ. Bought some stuffs from him before so nothing to worry about.

:Later,

Alan Photo, Funan, $9 for 2 if I'm not wrong.

They dun seem very good then... Read here in CS that they were selling 2 for $9, but when I went there, they said $13. Then when I said $9, they said laughed and said "no such thing".
Sigh...

thought east gear selling 4 AA @ S$19?

Hrm?

Just bought a few weeks back, went in for a little spin and was surprised that the pricing was so low, almost comparable to onlineshop.com.sg, since that's $18 for 4 instead of $17.50 for 4, and you don't have to wait for the delivery. Maybe the price rose again.

Why Eneloop and not Maha, by the way. I know Eneloops retain charge for longer for idle, but the Mahas are 2700mAh (versus 2000) and cheaper (20 for 4 versus 33)

Powerex? I mix both, but Eneloops are still primary.. You know for certain how much juice you're going to get out of them. Whereas even with Powerex, even with the discharge problems being rather limited, you have to guess depending on when you last charged.. Like playing roulette.

Just don't get PowerOnes, someone here sold me some citing no problems. I get 100 shots per 4 batteries on my K100D even when they're 2700, ridiculous and a utter waste of money.

One of the guys at FredMiranda.com said he would charge the PowerEX'es the night before a shoot, so those batteries would be his primary, and the Eneloops would be his backups since the backups are used much less, and you don't need to keep charging them. Sounds logical :)

Yeap, what I do.

So one set of Powerex, the rest all Eneloops. =D

And those measly PowerOnes are like, cannon fodder when all other hope has failed.

New similar type of batteries in the market... I think it is by ????

I'm not sure how's the juice of Eneloops on my cam.

But I'm using them primarily for my portable amplifier. 2x Eneloops, lasts me 2 months of everyday usage. :D

If anyone go HK, eneloops are selling for SGD$18.00 for a pack of 4. My friend went a couple of months back and bought me a pack to try. Great as backups.

Another brand you can try is called " Camelion" . The ones in SG are rated at 2600. Last about a month in my S2IS.

Cheers...
