I want to convert my FD50mm f1.2 and FD70-200mm f4 lens so that i can use on EOS40D

Anyone knows where can i get it and price wise?

Some second hand or repair shops (in Penin/Coleman area) do carry but rare nowadays. You can try but price quoted are expensive as compared to ebay. Ebay is better as you can have a choice of different versions. Anyway shipping is not expensive as they just pop it into a 'bubble' envelope and send off. Good luck.

i'm not looking for the original converter which costs >$1000

looking for a good and cheap one that is <$100 in singapore

Just a note when using the convertor. Your lenses won't be able focus to infinity due to the thickness of the convertor. If you are ok with that, you can get them easily from ebay at a good price. In SG, you can try Peninsula or Adelphi basement.

Thinkvision has one for sale.

Can try Mr Wong of Fotografix at China Town Point. Call 62237217 after 1430 before u go down. But I believe the price will be in the region of S$100 but I am not sure.

When he is not in the shop the number will be connected to a fax machine. Try again. He should opens daily after 1430. Sometimes you will have to try much later than 1430. A one man show nitch shop.

on level 2 there's no camera shop. only clothes and travel agencies

Hi! I just called Mr Wong and he is indeed still at the same place. Not sure did u go to the right shopping mall. It is at China Town Point. The unit number is 02-13 or 02-15, as he is in the admist of shifting shop. According to him the display cabinet and camera stuff are all still in the old shop, the new one being just diagonally opposite. U need to call him before u go down as he does not open punctually.

As for the adaptor, he got his from a Japanese source. He is selling the type with a glass element (so that lenses can be focus to infinity). However, he does not have stock now. And also not all FD lenses can fit this adaptor. But the adaptor will easily cost more than S$200.
