till date... still count on CS marketplace :bsmilie:
since still newbie noob... it's a decent place to go, imo
+ browsin some folders b4 deciding any purchase ;)

If i purchase any gear online, it will definitely be from bhphoto.

bhphoto, adorama, beach, and newegg. Also HK shops.

I buy from Orient because its near where i stay... dont need to take MRT.

Sorry guys, anyone know where i can get Canon 550D at a good price and the shop accept cc and best if 0% interest installment.

most shop tat offer low price usually deal in cash. for cc instalment plan, u have to head to harvey norman, courts and the likes. but be warn tat some of the salesmen are quite bad in terms of customer service.

B&H photo, adorama or local shops like OP, TK and MS Colour.

Sorry guys, anyone know where i can get Canon 550D at a good price and the shop accept cc and best if 0% interest installment.

There is NO shop with the best price.See the price guides. And all shops accept CC but i do not know about ?% interest though...

I used to buy from Orient and Cathay Photo, but after TK Foto Technic moved their operations to Funan, I myself have been patronizing their shop very very often. Also, the salesman, especially James and a few of them has been giving me good service, and reasonable price.

If you ask me where I usually get my photography gear from ?, I try to get at TK Foto Technic, else, no choice, I will then look for somewhere else.

To me, Service V.S Price is the most important.

credit card go Paris silk lor. Their prices already very reasonable.

SLR Revolution. Just got my Tamron lens today. Great professional service from Ray!

john 3:16 - very friendly people but it does take some time when the shop is crowded! At least i walk away a happy person!

And also clubsnap BNS for second hand stuff... :bsmilie:

ms color ftw. once u know their boss well, a lot of things he will close a lot of eyes for u.

Agreed. TK is the least pretentious in my opinion and straight to the point. Doesnt bother to "carry your balls" or make small talk.

TK is by no means the cheapest but I like them for their straighforwardness.
They give you the same price on the phone and in the shop. No bargaining
required. (something like Bata price). And their sales staff are friendly and
no long que.

MS Color in ANG MO Kio is also a good place to buy photographic stuff.

Last but not least Clubsnap and ebay.
Small items like filters, flashes, etc.. from Hong Kong ebay sites are quite
reliable, but delivery times can be quite long - between two to three
weeks.

I will vote for John 3:16 and Cathay Photo
John 3:16 - the staff are helpful and provide recommendation and provide knowledge on their product.
Cathay Photo - went there recently, the price is competitive and the staff will approach you and offer some help

Bad Experience in Orient Photo
I was in Orient Photo 2 weeks ago and that is my 1st visit to the shop, the lady there is not a Filipina but she look like a Filipina. I asked for camera bag and she just recommend the bag in front her without any question what kind of bag I am looking for. So I just go to the shelves and look for myself. Then after that I asked for UV filter, at that time I don't have my camera so I gave her the lens model which is only Canon EFS 18-55mm and she replied to me "give me the lens size not the lens model." Then I told her, “the built-in kit for D550.” And she still insists the lens size. I am not sure if she’ really don’t know or she's not happy on what she's doing. Hopefully they will provide customer service training to their staff.

hmmm... ray huh?? there is another guy called jason or kelvin. cant remember.

Ray is the guy with the spec. Love his professional service.
