Where are all the 18-200VR?

Nothing's wrong with it. Just that the 18-200 performs better.

i just came back from a trip to beijing...use mainly my kit lens...not because it's the best or most suitable but simply cos i have no time to change the lens...i have the 55-200 mm zoom...only manage to use sparingly...

strongly advice one to get a long zoom...it's a matter of being able to take as many photos as possible in a short time. now considering getting the 18-200 vr2

At least a change from what they always say... which is 1 week... for the past 3 months. This is more realistic. Or a better version of false hope.

No. I don't think there was japanese version of the 18-70. So I don't know if the design was bad from day one or the thai factory didn't do a good job doing the precision alignments.
