What's your first console game?

First games:

Atari - Pong, Jungle Hunt and Tennis
NES variant (Micro Genius) - Legend of Kage (Kage is pronounced Ka-Ge and not 'Cage') and Battle Tanks
Sega Megadrive - Insector X and Midnight Resistance
SNES - Yuyu Hakushu and Secret of Mana
Neo Geo - Art of Fighting 2
PSX - Beyond the Beyond

I've since switched to handheld games.

Well along the years, a couple of games I remember more fondly are

Castlevania 2 (NES)
Bomberman (NES)
Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone (NES)
Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Romancing Saga series (SNES)
Bahamut Lagoon (SNES)
Secret of Mana (SNES)
Front Mission (SNES)
Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
Lufia (SNES)
Streets of Rage aka Bare Knuckles [I, II and III] (MD)
Herzog Zwei (MD)
Golden Axe 3 (MD)
Wani Wani World (MD)
Thunder Force IV (MD)
Vapor Trail (SNES)
Langrisser 2 (SNES)
三国志英杰传 (SNES)
Super Robot War G (PSX)
Tobal No.1 (PSX)
Tales of Destiny (PSX)
Star Ocean: The Second Story (PSX)

As you can see I'm quite a RPG junkie but the games I enjoyed most are actually the ones I played co-op/vs with my cousins and classmates. Playing console alone is half the fun only.

Thunderforce VI is a fantastic side-scroll shooter, beats gradius, parodius, r-type hands down.
Oh, how could I forget about Langrisser & Super Robot Wars..
played Romancing Saga? then ya quite a hard core gamer too!!

front mission and star ocean are among my list of favourite games of all times! but i guess i spend alot more time on tony hawk pro skater 1 2 3 and 4 more than any other games ;p

I've forgot to mention Earthbound (SNES) which is called "Mother" in Japan release. It was a refreshing concept for RPGs and I in particular dig the trickling meter system for HP. Good concept and fun! All kinds of wacky things could happen.

I also thought that Lunar: The Silverstar Story (PSX but it's essentially a port over from Sega Saturn) had a pretty good story and beautiful theme songs. I'm sure most of you would know "The Boat Song" that was played when Lunar was singing on the ship (not boat?!). It's sad that the ultra darn lame battle sequence totally spoilt the game.

Not to forget PC engine from NEC. Can combine with a special CD-ROM somemore. Too bad, local support wasn't strong that time.

hmm if i remember correctly the rebound effect can only achieve by a high skill character, e.g Tsubasa's teammate who's father is an artist, or the one with heart problem (can't remember their names). Choose 3rd option to rebound the shot if opponent shoots, but % of a successful rebound is still quite low. :nono:

hmm... how abt double rebound? Only Tsubasa can do that right? this one I am quite sure cannot control wan, except that I know that Tsubasa must be near the vicinity of the original shooter... and the only time I saw that, his arch rival rebound the shot, so i presume that this is a pre-requisite as per the comics. This, I only saw once, and it was not even planned for. A pity this was very long ago, otherwise can exchange notes on this game... ;)

"Game & Watch" consider or not? I own some of the games when I was young, then upgrade to Atari -> Nintendo -> Sega

Pub Pong on a home made unit ;)

A life time ago :bsmilie:

Home made unit?

Yes,

It was many moons ago. Built it from a published circuit.

To give an idea how long ago .... there were still B&W tv sets.

I love the simplicity of game & watch.

any one try to play NES on mobile phone?

There was 1 before atari, similiar graphics only in bigger sq blocks and had limited games inside.

After that came the revolutionary cartridge changing ATARI!

ORIC. It uses cassette tape to load the game and it takes about 5 - 15mins to load up. First game was some guy jumping up to avoid some boulders.
