The mother of all spyplanes. The Aurora Hypersonic Stealth Spy Plane.

Exceeded by the X-15.. LOL.. But then it's probably capable of long flights and taking off from airfields...

*wave* fellow Hunter lover.

I remember how their slow approach into PLAB. It is probably one of the most stable platform during those days. (Good as trainer, and they only demonstrate some results as bombers).

Skyflash  Adrian
I loved the hunters especially when they accelerate into the sky at TAB...i can just remember the sound of their engine...unique ;)
I can also vividly remember when they were the first Singapore aerobatic display team... The Black Knights, performing at Pasir Panjang

F14 Tomcat... From Top Gun eh? :D Armed with BVR AIM-54 Phoenix Missile, almost guaranteed kills, superb all-weather interceptor. Too bad the Phoenix Missiles cannot be sold outside US, if not RSAF buy-buy-buy liao. Even the 120 AIM-120 AMRAAMs bought a few years ago would not even see action unless war breaks out. Sigh...

I think New Zealand still see Skyhawk and Tiger in service. Went to Sydney and on the way back, saw a couple of F18 Hornets. No Picture No Talk. Sorry, I was too stone from waking up frm the bus and could only gawk as the plane landed magnificently in the distance den I realised wad the ***** I was doing and failed to catch a decent shot. :(

Wad else? How abt the MiG-27 anyone?

F-14 from the movie TOP GUN
Too bad, F-14 has reached it's service life. It was decom last April. No more Skull Sqn or Top Hatter or Grim reapers. Had the opportunity to be onboard USS Abraham Lincoln and Kitty Hawk...magnificant...up close with the Tomcats, Hornets, Viking etc

I personally dont fancy Russian jets. As for MiG-27, it was design to challenge the US F-15 or the F-16's. But due to it's design, it was too heavy therefore lose out in endurance for aerial combat.

Focke Wulf FW190D-9 "DORA".

Hehe... The X-15 is an even bigger fuel eater... 15 tonnes of fuel expended in 3 minutes.

15 tonnes in 3 mins...how many mins can it fly then ? :)

Anyway I like the stealth flight. Looks cool and very "zen"

Anywhere between 80 seconds to 180s of powered flight, the rest is glide time..

But it's the fastest (Mach 6.7) and highest flying (~95Km), piloted winged aircraft..

Needs to be launched off a B-52 bomber though..

Fastest unmanned, winged aircraft is the X-43A at Mach 9.6.
Also needs to be launched off a B-52.

F117 NightHawk...like it's design...
