What's wrong with this picture?

hmm. i shall not answer this thread for the time being, and let more people guess the answer! *evil laughter* :bsmilie:

"the simplest things we take for granted", is my current last clue :D

the dustbin is against the wall? Right next/on to the path the blind are supposed to follow?

Making the blind friendly markings useless?

A wild guess here,
to me the floor near the dustbin look uneven, seem to be sink in.
Or dustbin got no opening to throw rubbish??
Or there is a big patch of shadows casted on the wall but don't seem to have any big object nearby?
Btw will we get an answer after all this guessing?

It has got to do with the round tiles on the floor. If I'm not wrong....it leads a blind man using a cane to the nearest exit. Don't see any exit here. Furthermore, the two sets of round tiles looks funny.

What ever the answer is, what u stated here is a good point! Why they place the dustbin there?? Do they expect the blind can easily avoid it and get back to the track after the bend?? :dunno:

The tiles are leading the blind person into a crash course straight towards the trash bin?

okay thats my last guess...

rgds,
me

My guess would be those 'bump' tiles. They are usually used to warn people not to get too near to something (at the edge of MRT platform, kerbs etc etc). But in this picture , the use of these tiles is not too clear.

Damn sehsuan, you are going to drive everyone nuts going at this rate.

I'm guessing
1) the guiding path is bent close towards the wall.
2) The bin has no side hole in the side for throwing rubbish
3) The door handle is on the wrong side or too low.

I think the rubbish bin should not be there at all as it's meant for the blind to walk along the blind guide lines. Not sure with the blue background. Seems weird as well..........

hmm.. the bin is in the the middle of a 'path'?

the 'path' is like supposely between the wall and the small rocks on the floor.. cause thats people pushin trolley or like most say here.. blind people can walk..

so, with the bin RIGHT in the middle of the 'path', how can the 'path' even be used?

i hope im right!!!

got prize or not? :P

the rubbish bin shouldn't be there those with eyesight problem or blind might bang into the bin. that the problem with the picture. i'm so surprise the ans is on the second page of this thread

i think i second your answer ... emmm ... i also think that the dustbin is in the way of the blind people's path marking .... so is like useless to have a marking that will lead them to bang into the dustbin

Missing door handle?

It is not a dustbin. The size is too big. ;)

the dustbin should not be placed there because the dott-ed roadway is meant for the blind. That shoudn't block their way. ;)

the guy's reflection on the floor looks way out of scale. note how it extends from where he's standing passing the light coloured tiles and into the dark area.

just my guess...

i shall wait for more responses from fellow CS'ers to figure this mystery out - since this is a test of how observant one is. i had a double-take before i decided to take this picture. fortunately for me, the surroundings were very non-distracting, but at the same time that somehow makes the photo look "artistic", which i'm not worthy of... :D

go guess go! :D

please, no alien abduction theory please. and in true photojournalism style, i did not manipulate the photo other than to rotate it from horizontal orientation :)

the dust bin has no opening on the sides

or... there's supposed to be a fire fighting hose reel behind that door, but there's no sign or indication that there is one. so how's the fireman / person supposed to know?
