What's wrong with this picture?

I'm assuming that blind people are supposed to walk next to the tiles and use their "seeing stick" to sense a change in direction.

By convention, they walk on the same side all the time (eg. on the left) so they don't collide with other people coming in the opposite direction.

However, one side will collide with the bin.

remember, i didn't say whether any of you did get the answer, or not. i'm just like reviewing students doing an exam paper - just that i have given clues to the real answer, but i have yet to pick out which answer is correct or wrong for the same question. after all, you dont expect teachers to be assisting their students for exams, right? ;)

SMM, dont worry. you're not called SIAO mi mi for no reason too :bsmilie:

wkcheah. nope! that's not the answer ;)

:bsmilie: You sound like u're really enjoying yourself here... ;)

actually those tiles just indicate there's a "bend"

I think you are shooting at the mirror reflection. The subject should be towards the front near you.

I'm going nuts liao.....real nuts....can't see it...can't guess it....what's the prob with the photo??? dun see anything wrong.

... one of the roof tiles is about to fall down...

LOL!!!! :sweatsm:

The answers are hilarious :P

Could it be that the dustbin shouldn't be the main subject?

Later the answer turns out to be something really dumb.. lol!! Sehsuan, you're gonna be trampled

the blind may walk walk and the dorr may swing open thus hitting the blind person and being a tiled door it would hurt.... and the classic pphrase "dunno what hit him"

erm.. door cant open all the way the bin blocking?

shrugz.

Can't see clearly from picture, just guessing.
The door handle is on the wrong side of the door.

Photographers shouldn't be using the blind persons' guide way to confuse fellow CSers for their own amusement? :D

Can anyone point out what's wrong in this picture? Shouldn't be too hard to pick out.

The protrusions that you see on the floor are called tactile guide paths. These are easily explained if you read this link and this link. By placing the dustbin between the tactile guide paths and the wall, the management of the station has made an assumption that the blind will not walk between this space, but on the other side of the tactile guide paths, thereby risking the possibility that a blind person will be confused by the dustbin, or even the possibility that he/she will knock into it. If there is a real need for the dustbin, it should placed on the bottom right of the photo, where the tactile guide paths bend away, rather than the current position where the tactile guide paths bend around the dustbin.

is it because the wall beside the man has 2 tone blue color? Which, by right should be the same color as the wall in front :dunno:

First, Sehsuan, pardon me for altering your image.

I feel something is not too right about the picture, more on its orientation.
I decided to flip the picture around horizontally. Let's see it from another angle. :dunno:

Does it look right now?

Thought the blind man aid is always on the right-hand side?

it should not be hanging halfway in midair.
On second thoughts that is not a door at all !!
It is the gateway to ........

Looks deserted and eeeriee...are you leading us to the twilight zone??? :dunno:

This is a pretty interesting thread  ..... BUT

HOWEVER, i will still attempt a guess..

The florescent lights should be mounted parallel to the walkway instead.
Provides better illumination :D
