What else is there in the internal parts? erm.. ccd? woa ho ho ho.. Must make full use of it man.. haha.. make my camera brand new again
Hmmm..., I see "abusing the system" picture here...

Arto.

Contacted the engineer who repaired my camera, he says should be normal, but I really dont understand, haha, if really this persist after CNY may be ask them to send the metering sensor for checks. Agreed. hope this doesnt get bad until HN / Nikon withdraws these kind of perks for consumers out there!

Well.. It's not abusing the warrenty, tell me truely, will you want to pay if ure reflex mirror or the RGB sensor for 3D Matrix metering congs off. I was so lucky to do in under warrenty because the 1/F PCB will cost 260++ after adding the opening of the camera cost. And with this 7% coming soon, I think I would rather find everything that can be repaired to be replaced now better than later. Well.. Nevermind in 10mths down the road I would have either my D200 or D2Xs

Warranty is about... replacement/repair IF something is spoilt. It is not about pre-emptive replacement of wear and tear parts.

If that is everyone's interpretation of warranty, I think big name companies are all set to lose money big time. Imagine this. Toyota. "Oh hey, my warranty is almost up. I think I will change every single part in my engine so that it is brand new!" New cams. New pistons. etc etc.

It is this mentality that makes car insurance companies happy. They charge everyone huge premiums because of reasons like inflated claims. "Oh since somebody bang into me, I will go and claim other related parts damage too!"

Call a spade, a spade. The camera parts are not faulty, yet, from your posts, I felt that the warranty system for faulty parts have been abused to "change all before warranty ends" mentality and want to change every possible thing in the camera, thinking that new parts are better.

Buddy, this may seem like a "smart move" by you, but in reality, it reflect very badly on yourself and projects a KS and immature thinking; and not to mention the system being abused and subsequently withdrawal of the extended warranty offered by HN in the long term. :nono: I feel sad for you.

Sounds like a case of PLBV to me.. why not check with a light meter? You still haven't tell us what is the kind of lighting the room is normally lit with. If it's fluorescence, the exposure seems about right. Your eyes may think that the room is very bright but in fact it isn't. Which is why if you see many indoor shots, the windows are always overexposed.
