Metal Shop

A nice guy.. my bike broke down and I needed to custom make some metal washers for it.. So I went to this industrial estate near my home to try to get it done..

Everywhere seemed really unfriendly and I couldn't really talk to any of the workers or convince them to help me out with the milling until I found this guy..

He was a lone craftsmen working on some metal frames when I approached him he seemed almost like the rest.. but he went to the back of the shop and came up with some washers.. and we got to work..

Overall he was really nice.. but man.. his shop was like as if an a bombed drop inside of it.. So messed up.. And I couldn't really understand what he was talking bout cause he was mumbling..

So when in doubt just smile..

But yeah.. it cost me $7 do just drill out 4 washers but oh well.. the guy was nice so I didn't really mind..

On a side note.. as I was leaving he shared more about his work and said he did large scale projects for bigger establishments in singapore and overseas.. Quite amazing since his shop was kinda... run down.. haha

Such a coincidence that when I reached the end of the tunnel, there was a cyclist riding the corner with the no riding sign in view..

I'm normally not one to take this kind of photos.. but for artistic aesthetics and humour.. (well just look at how shock the guy looks haha) I'm gonna post this. =)

But on his last dieing breath, He will look back to when life was simpler and happiness was just going to the playground and he will mutter, Yes I am going back. Err.. Hmm.. well.. I walked across the street.. stopped halfway, shot four photos in a square order. Bottom Left, Bottom Right, Top Right, Top Left and crossed the road before getting run down by crazy taxis. =)

I used a Panorama maker programme called PTGUI to create the panos. Very simple to use and ultimately powerful!!

Lens in use was a Tokina 11-16 ultra wide angle lens so.. thats why there is massive amounts of distortion especially when I take panos in the rectangle shape style.

Thats extremely high praise that I'm not worthy of! But thank you very much! Maybe one day I'll set up a gallery but it'll probably be free.. to have people come and see my work. =(

On a side note, Today is my 1 year anniversary in photography.. so I'll celebrate with giving you two photos of my niece and nephew. =)
